It is almost like people should give players time to settle in rather than judging them on their first two games. Duffy looks a fantastic signing (as do Norwood and Sidwell) yet there were people writing them off already in early September. The criticism of him after his second game on this...
Agreed. That point in the first half last night where Bruno reached out a leg and kept in a cross field ball that looked like it was going out and then carried on down the wing was amazing. How does he get up and down the wing so much at 36?
I think Bong might be looking more like an equivalent...
Out of interest, what do you expect? It's the Championship. Games are often very tight and decided by one goal. I disagree with your thoughts on it as I think we were quite comfortable until injury time against a decent Wolves team. One of the players who came on at half time cost them £6.5...
Agree with this. Wolves were happy to come and play (unlike Preston and many others coming to the Amex), which made for an open game between two good teams. I thought we played very well overall and were generally in control of the game except for a mad injury time at the end with all those...
The irony is that the opposite is true. For some on here, Stockdale can do no right. They generally shut up last year because they didn't have any case. This season, they seem to have come back despite us having the level best defensive record in the league.
In this thread, you and a couple of...
What rubbish. You are massively biased. Also, I think it is not worth debating with someone who thought he should have caught Bruno's backpass as it would have been a free kick from where the backpass was played from.
Concern of most. At what point did you know what most people think? I am not too concerned as we currently have conceded 9 goals in 12 games and Stockdale has played a big part in that
Complete drivel. It's more like #blamedave as some people on here criticise him for every goal we concede and don't give him credit for clean sheets.
Well done on a 'look at me' post though. I am sure it was so funny it needed a new thread
If you think it is honest to blame him for a number of goals conceded and give him no credit for numerous clean sheets then I am glad you are not my manager
I don't know why I am surprised by threads like this. Stockdale was amazing last season. He's been very good this season. We have one of the best defensivecrecords in the league. I would be very surprised if a change was made on Tuesday. Stockdale is our number one and has done nothing to lose...
I read your original post just chose to ignore it as your other comments clearly show a bias. You basically blamed him for various goals and gave him no credit for our run of clean sheets. If that's not anti a player then what is?
Hemed missed one game. This thread is about the season so far.
I honestly don't get the negativity. We are fourth in the league. We have also won three games by more than a goal, which we hadn't at this point last year.
You mean Murray who has six goals already this season, Baldock who featured regularly in a team that came third last season and carefully forget Hemed, 17 goals last season and three for Israel during the international break. As I said, hardly woeful. And just saying names doesn't make a case
Talk about over expectations. We've had a great start. Of the three teams who got to the play offs last season, we're doing comfortably better than the others and despite spending significantly less this summer than the other two.
Woeful attacking options. Seriously. We have scored 16 in 12. Not brilliant but hardly woeful. It's amazing we're fourth in the league as according to NSC we have woeful attacking options and a keeper who is completely out of form.
There seems to be an overuse of the word 'woeful' on this forum...
