This has to be one of the most stupid posts ever. Ignoring the fact we've not left the EU yet, can you show me anyone who said we would be rubbish at sport if we voted Brexit.
Yes, that's correct. Missed out in the women's cycling road race and one or two others this time but have got more than the whole of swimming last time.
I think you might be right, it's just a bit early to get carried away. I remember it happening last time and we had the sudden gold rush. The...
But we've still got out big sports to come. Rowing, sailing, athletics and track cycling haven't had any medals yet. There will be a lot of medals there for us. Also, we have a good chance in other events still like swimming, diving, triathlon, tennis etc. No reason to get concerned yet. We had...
I can see where you're coming from but his injury in pre season was clearly an injury. He's not been sold and he played at Oxford and at home to Lazio. If he misses tonight and Friday, I'm sure suspicions will be roused but a player who is wanted by another team can be injured at the same time.
Again, we can't stop them bidding. We may have said he's not for sale. There's no proof Burnley have bid again so it may just be these random Twitter sites making up rumours
Exactly. Some of the comments on here amaze me. People do realise that we'd have players lined up if we got a huge late offer. This is not the same scouting system as two years ago. We've proven it works and need to trust them. On top of this, we'd still have Kayal, Norwood, Sidwell and Towell...
Will be interesting to see if he starts tonight. If he does, given the team we're putting out, I think it's a fair assumption that he's no nearer to leaving. If he doesn't it will lead to debate about whether the slight injury story in the Argus yesterday is correct or he's in Burnley now set to...
Actually I am not sure that's true. If you asked pundits to pick their three relegated and three promoted teams between the Premier League and Championship, I think a few would pick Albion to go up but I doubt any wouldn't pick Burnley or Hull to go down. Doesn't mean they are correct but I find...
Why do you spend so much time on an opposing team's forum?
Ignoring that, I think it is fair to say (and most pundits and the bookies would probably agree) that the odds of Brighton being in the Premier League next season are higher than Burnley. We have a good chance of finishing in the top...
There was someone behind me who kept moaning about Murray and at one point in the first half said it was the first time he'd won the ball in the air, when he'd already won quite a lot against their centre backs. Other than that, I didn't hear any moans. Everyone seemed to be getting behind the team.
If the rumoured fee of £6 million is true then I'd be okay selling him. We've already signed another option so we're not going to get ripped off for a replacement and I thought Sidwell was one of our best players on Saturday. It would be a shame to lose him after last season but that is a lot of...
Agree with all of this. Thought Dunk was man of the match. Superb match. As you say Murray was a 7 or 8 and played very well and Sidwell was better than Kayal, who didn't have his best game but was okay.
Agree re Knockaert incident. I mentioned it in another thread. Very encouraging especially as it didn't really work for him yesterday.
Re Moyes, I don't think it is Dunk as they just signed a centre back from Chelsea so maybe Knockaert or Kayal possibly if it's one of our players.
Didn't really have much impact to be honest and none of them had that long on the pitch so hard to rate. Probably would give Baldock and Murphy a 6 as they didn't do anything wrong and LuaLua wasn't on long enough.
Think that is probably true but he played well for the last 75 minutes yesterday having struggled early on. Hopefully a sign that he's getting back to his best.
