Boxing Day 78? - beating Palace 3 NIL with an early pen from Brian Horton - wonderful wonderful day
Many other special games particularly mid / late 70's
Been on the Anthony Nolan register for many many years and been involved in one transplant - not marrow but platelets.
Always trying to encourage people to register - it's so simple and SO worthwhile.
Some very good and fair points as evidenced by the Sydney video - thousands of fans of both teams behind the goals were STANDING (jumping up and down).
I noticed from my lofty perch in the WSU the stewarding in the NS and the club cannot expect the fans to make a proper atmosphere if silly...
Ditto except I gave up after 10 mins as I had only moved forward 2 places. It wasn't necessarily all her fault as there should be someone else assisting, pouring, taking money etc. but heh that's too obvious.
The stats on spend per customer (fan) per game should make interesting reading since we moved in and the club must have that data. It should also be easy to break it down per product etc. and I wouldn't be surprised that taking into account price rises, average spend is probably down? Would also...
Ditto - another listener here although Evans does sometimes become too me, me, me. However the variety of music (much of it high quality) and non-music elements makes it an enjoyable programme to listen to .... most of the time.
People don't have to listen if they don't want to!
There's a video 'shot' by her family who were standing behind her which they have released. She was shown how to use it with single shot with him holding the weapon - then he changed it to automatic - she pulls the trigger - major recoil - video stops and he's toast. Americans are possibly some...
Be fascinated to know the numbers sold (beer & pies) compared to previous seasons.
Lots are still buying but lots including moi either not bothering or popping over to the Swan where as well as cheaper beer they have TOILETS!!
Lost respect for Buckley, Bridcutt and to an extent Ulloa for not wanting to play for the team. All 3 you could tell weren't interested except for picking up their salary and exorbitant premiership wages.
Watching the highlights, his movement and ability to run with the ball AND pick a pass makes him look potentially just what we need. Very early days but I liked what I saw and am looking forward to seeing him in the flesh provided they've replaced his leg that dirty Leeds tried to amputate with...
Just seen this about Jimmy Case and although written by a Liverpool fan it's still worth reading - have many happy memories about Jimmy not least of which was his thunderbolt at Highbury 83 semi-final ........... happy days (and look at the trophies he won)...
Sorry if already covered but I've just read the club article about the signing session tomorrow and am taken aback by "We do expect that this event will be extremely popular, and therefore fans will need to make their initial purchase in store (or bring proof of any purchase made during July -...
Some well made points.
I remember in the early days of the Amex the Club PR spin about how attractive the club would be to new players because of the shiny new stadium, wonderful city, great manager etc. etc. We have had some good ones but generally speaking we seem to find it difficult to get...
