Agreed - I often find it amazing how when one minute we are about to take a corner and the next the ball is in our penalty area with no explanation of what happened in the intervening 80 yards. Towards the end they were wittering on and complaining we weren't being positive enough and just...
Somewhat more than your condescending attitude.
I did engage my brain thanks and clearly you have other views so eloquently expressed.
Feel free to carry you with your lack of perspective - I'm sure it won't be long.
Haven't seen this posted elsewhere so apols if already covered.
An absolutely brilliant programme last night - emotional - dramatic - heart warming - a real roller coaster and a fascinating look at the critical role of the first hour in a major trauma and how the emergency services and more...
Great thread. Mine hasn't got a clue about football but has been to a handful of games over the years although these are usually embarrassing as she demonstrates her total lack of knowledge and cheers at completely the wrong time.
When I get home from games she rarely shows any interest and if...
Can't help but feel that whilst any such offer is obviously welcome, if the intention was to help supporters play an important role in helping the team on the night, then presumably the more supporters the better and a slightly more generous offer which attracts an even greater number of fans...
Bottom line is that footballers are paid too much. Until there is some realism on this issue, clubs will continue to lose money and I suspect there ain't gonna be any realism so the circle will continue.
My Father in Law who died a few years ago was a rear gunner on Lancs. He did 2 tours and got the DFC for a raid on Brest.
Some amazing stories especially about how luck played it's part - on more than one occasion he would swap a mission or someone would swap with him and the other 'chap'...
That's the impression I got too in my first NS experience since the Goldstone days - almost rekindled my youth and thought it was a very good experience and good atmosphere - would love to alternate NS with my superb WSU perch but sadly not practical.
Indeed I was there and somewhat bizarrely it was the only game I ever attended in a suit. Didn't have time to go home and change so was in the North Stand dressed in my whistle and flute but boy - what a great goal it was - something I will never forget.
I never ever ever comment on refs pre or post match but in D'Urso's case I will make an exception.
The bloke is a joke and should not ref a game a football at any level as he is totally, utterly and completely inept - end of!
It may not be the force it was back in the days of the Bears but it's still a great sport, particularly at Junior level.
Although BHA is still my main spectating passion, coaching basketball to kids is my 'active' passion and Horsham is where it's at now - great junior club with some great...
IMHO he is doing a good job.
He knows his stuff, has worked at other clubs at various levels building useful experience, he has lots of BHA pedigree and a genuine enthusiasm for the club, his fluent Spanish will help from a practical point of view, he comes across as a very positive person...
IMHO the weather issue is primarily a smoke screen for the World Cup dates being moved and alas it's really religion that means it was never going to take place in the summer.
Some of you may have heard about the Haj which is a huge religious event that takes place each year in Mecca. Every...
It was a huge game - lost that (or even drawn) and I was sure we would be relegated.
Just had a good feeling it would be worth the trip along the M4 and what a night it was - then we carried on to the end of the season and the rest is history - could have been oh so different.
My first visit and overall impression not bad.
I LOVE to see smart food outlets outside which helps to create atmosphere of a proper sporting occasion. Away end has good views and able to make good noise helped by sensible stewarding allowing standing in the back half
Was surprised how quiet...
I've noticed that Burnley are doing a trial of a new iPhone App allowing users to pre place orders to avoid the queues - seems a good idea and I wondered if the Club would consider the same idea?
