Such a waste of time. In a few years people will think the idea of having a +1 channel is so quaint, when everyone can access the rest of the week's programmes via iPlayer direct onto their TV. I've never really got +1 anyway. It seems quite a specific circumstance to need a channel starting an...
Crap deal. A pie and pint would cost £7.80 at normal price, so you're paying more than the normal price and all you get is a chocolate bar or packet of crisps which you probably don't want anyway.
Anyone seen the first one or two episodes of Masters of Sex? It's supposed to be good! Another coup for Channel 4 by the sound of it - after also getting Agents of Shield. Hopefully a sign that terrestrial channels are willing to pay for good US stuff. Wish the BBC would follow suit - especially...
Yeah I like Washed Out and I hear this new album is quite the grower. I'm tempted to go see him at Concorde, but as with all these sort of things I'm not sure what I'm actually going to see if I go. Went to **** Buttons last week and they were really good, wonder if Washed Out can make the...
One thing that fans will never understand is how an assistant manager, and to an extent the further underlings, operate within the structure of a club. It's always thoroughly embarrassing when people try and theorise on their relative merits, because the truth is that we don't know how they...
Maybe the amount of cars parked around schools (I'm going on a limb here and assuming most parents don't push their kids out of moving vehicles) and therefore making crossing the road far more dangerous, were also a contributing factor?
I tried to attend this match the first time. I remember arriving in Bristol really early, it absolutely hammered down all afternoon and I got completely lost walking out of Bristol trying to head for the Mem. Probably walked about 4 hours in the pouring rain, finally getting to the stadium to be...
The League One promotion season under Poyet was very special, and I wish I could live it again because I doubt I will see days like those again.
I would love to relive the Zamora days. I was only 10 or 11 around then, so obviously knew what a player Zamora was, but never quite had the context...
Caribou I've seen the most - I got kind of obsessed with 'Swim' and ended up seeing them about 7 times on that tour - every time was amazing.
Others are probably Deerhunter, Low, The Flaming Lips. But all probably about 4 or 5 times - nothing massive!
Just bought tickets for Yo La Tengo at the De La Warr Pavilion, probably wouldn't have heard about it for a while if it wasn't for this thread so thank you! So excited - they are amazing live.
Also just bought tickets for White Denim at The Haunt. Another great booking for The Haunt, would...
It won't burst for a long time, sadly.
As a 24 year old, I can see that people in my generation, and especially lower, simply have an entirely different notion of football than the older ones who consider fandom as actually going to games. The Sky Sports fan is in full abundance and the...
I was in it earlier in the week because apparently I acted like a prick when drunk and insulted one of my best friends. Texted said friend next day to apologise and he said he didn't know what I was talking about. Bloody women...
The centenary programme against Bournemouth (I think) was massive!
Given up on buying them now though. The 50p rise to £3.50 was the straw that broke the camels back.
Don't worry, the OP has no real clue/doesn't really think that Harley will play any part this year. How could he? We've seen nothing to suggest it might be the case so can only be suggested on 'pin the tail on the donkey' style football predictions. Read this as a place setter for him to say "I...
Just booked tickets for Owen Pallett at the Haunt on 10th August, after first home game of the season! Another great booking for The Haunt, they seem to be able to atrract pretty big artists for the size of the venue. Being an easy hop from London does, I suppose, help!
The OP could read something like this:
"I have given up caring because my sources and speculation have proved to be wrong so I now decide to take a different stance"
I think a lot of us were here quite a while ago.
I went. Astonishing performance. The sound was shit though. Thunder Road at the end was amazing. The tribute to Danny and Clarence was nice (although scaled back from last year's stretch of the Wrecking Ball Tour, when it was true lump in the throat stuff). Could do without Waitin on a Sunny Day...
**** Buttons are playing Concorde 2 as well. Really like their stuff, but not sure how interesting they are live. I've seen them a couple of times at festivals and was impressed but not sure if a longer set and a more sedate, gig atmosphere, will really do much for their show.
Thought Liars...
