Superb. MoM regardless of the goals - so composed on the ball and always in the right place defensively. The goals were just a bonus. I seriously think he could go a long, long way in the game.
Glad to see someone else is playing 12. I'm doing a journeyman save but starting with a good reputation. Started at Feyenoord, won the league in my third season and then the far richer Bayer Leverkusen came calling. 4 and a bit seasons there produced a second place followed by three straight...
This. My girlfriend and I went without booking online, saw the queues of an hour or so, pulled the phone out, booked online and were inside in 15 minutes. Marvellous scenes, and totally worth it.
Another Gaudi building in the city, Casa Battló, is also very much worth a visit. Again, it's wise...
It's not so much this deal is isolation, it's the pattern emerging. Sammy Lee, Clayton, Grabban, now Ward. Every time we are favourites for the deal, and every time we fail to close it.
Ward going to Burnley
Oh, they will have. Palace made something like £70 million from PL TV last year. We will have made maybe £4 million.
Can't blame Ward. My issue is the club procrastinating for weeks over the deal when it was clear he wanted to come here and Wolves wanted to sell.
Got a source for that, or are you making it up? No doubt that procrastination cost us at least Clayton and Ward, and being outdone on wages by a club with gates of half ours cost us Grabban. Who, incidentally, went for three times the fee we'd agreed in this window.
Joke. We should have stopped quibbling over a few quid (seeing how we've sold roughly £14 million of talent since January) weeks ago. Can't say I blame him - basically saying we only want him if it's on the cheap after a great season doesn't send out a great message, does it?
Well done to the club on failing to close another deal. See Clayton, Grabban, Conway, Baldock et al. All while offloading our existing talent at a prodigious rate.
Wind it in. As others have said, there is legitimate speculation on this. If you'd rather this site just be a mouthpiece for the club's propaganda, as you clearly aspire to be yourself, you're in the wrong place.
He must not go. We don't need the money, given how many other players we've let go recently. I am not happy with Buckley leaving but this would be even worse. Thankfully, there doesn't seem to be much evidence that it will happen.
But what we do know is that we have sold another player today, taking our transfer income since January to roughly £14 million, and we have thus far not adequately replaced those who have left, let alone strengthen. And the season has started.
