At least 91 dead now, very depressing.
I'm in grad school for meteorology (and used to study in Norman - the town south of Moore) so I was watching this all online earlier. The tornado went from nothing to massive in no more than 2 minutes, and was moving massively slowly compared to normal...
Was planning on getting some on the way home tonight but one machine was out of order and the other had a line of about 50 people. Will find somewhere tomorrow though; just in case...
Today's tv listings show that beinsport WILL be showing the playoff games live (they had a La Liga game scheduled before), so no need for crappy online streams
Given the 11.45am start here, no work will be happening on Friday :drink::drink:
It'll be live on beinSPORT over here (well, 99.9% sure), and they usually replay live matches later in the day. Failing that, look for English/sports bars wherever you're going. The ones around Seattle usually record games and play them later in the day (and will do random other games if you...
Sadly not - money/work put a stop to it. Hopefully we're playing Friday/Monday though so those days can be watching at the bar over lunch, and then the final is on memorial day so that's off work anyway, so it could be worse.
Would love to (if/when we make it), but already got flights booked back on June 1st, and need to be in Seattle still on May 30th. Not sure I can afford going 2 trips to London in a week...
Not quite such a good day for the Nationals today, losing 14-0 and counting...
Thankfully my batters finally woke up today, 15 for 39 so far and up to 7th in the league after quite a shocking start.
Nice - shame about the 7am start but nice to know it's on tv after all the issues trying to get the Forest game online last week. Not that I have cable, but every good Saturday starts with the bar at 7am...
SeagullTim - How long have you been at OU for? I studied there in 2007/08, would have...
I see you and beat you with 8 for 50 today (similarly with the dude I left on the bench at the last minute going 2-2 with a HR, leaving me still home-run-less). Not the most spectacular of starts to the season.
We're in the playoff positions with a handful of (more than winnable) games left - finishing 7th or lower would be a balls-up. Start of the season, 7th would have been great. But to be this close now, we have to take the opportunity.
Yeah, even after 4 years they still have no idea what the ref is doing. It's fairly common to boo/hurl insults when he plays advantage following a foul (no idea whether they don't see the advantage, or just don't understand), or to get generally furious about any decision where it's not 100%...
