My friend linked me to the 1000km or 1000miles in 2017 and I'm sorely tempted to go in...
I bought, used for a month and subsequently ditched my Apple Watch Series 2 as a running watch - the built in activity tracker doesn't give the metrics I want (the map on the App doesn't even show mile markers...) and using iSmoothRun or another running app just feels clunky as the display takes...
I gave up using my Apple Watch as a running companion and returned to using iSmoothRun on my iPhone paired with a cheapy old Pebble watch for the reasons above. Hated that I had to swipe or that sometimes the watch face wouldn't come up when I tilted my wrist up.
But it is true? from Wiki... (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gatwick_Airport#Flight_movements)
Gatwick operates as a single-runway airport although it has two runways; the northern runway (08L/26R) can only be used when the main runway (08R/26L) is out of use for any reason.
Yes, I've seen (in hospital) the bodies of deceased family members including my dad (I was 10) and grandparents. It's probably a different experience to yours as it wasn't a frantic scene or an accident as I was given time to prepare before I saw them.
I did the Crawley (sorry, "London South") Tough Mudder half yesterday, Much preferred it to the full one I did in March as it had more of the fun obstacles and none of the silly ice water / electric shock ones.
Rather a long shot, but is anyone else running the Disneyland Paris half marathon? I'm looking forward to running it but since becoming a father I've not run more than 10K and my pace is a hell of a lot slower than I'd like...
My newborn son is going to have a photo shoot in a couple of weeks and we need to sort some outfits out, I would like an Albion one.
Did they ever sell a baby sized (8lb) Albion kit? We have the sleep suits already but they're not really photo shoot material :)
FYI if anyone is in the market for a Garmin I might be selling my Forerunner 235 in the next week or so - really don't use all the bells and whistles over my old phone app so moving it on. PM me if interested else I'll sling it on eBay.
Wasn't happy with my Worthing time at all, was aiming for an hour due to 1) not training, 2) becoming a father a week ago and 3) the heat. I limped over the line completely exhausted at 1hr 5mins which is the second worst 10K time I've had since I started running as a fat(ter) bloke. My Garmin...
Hove Park Run is one of the things I really miss now I've moved to Worthing. Used to live 5 minutes walk from it and enjoyed it every Saturday. Looking forward to the Worthing one starting up but it's just Splashpoint westwards for 2.5k and then 2.5k back.
