Did nobody ever think of jotting down the 'Press' wi-fi code whilst doing the stadium tour, then using it all season for superfast broadband to their seat after logging in as a reporter whilst everyone else struggled to download anything more then a stick man doing star jumps on their Noddy-Fi...

Sometimes it can be a "bot" network, a series of crawlers, or some other reason to do with attempted hacking (or snooping, pre-attempted hack) if the numbers 'spike'. Failing that, if the numbers are real - we're clearly gaining popularity, so quick.. everyone talk shite and scare them off...

I've mixed feelings about this. On one hand, learning about history to prevent mistakes in the future is a great idea, but will we ever have physical slavery again on such a mass level? (Although a possibility is 'electronic slavery', which may well end up being a thing in the future.. but...

It's sometimes just not worth it.... I run an electronics forum (putting it basically, but it's a bit more glam than that..) and offered a few fairly rare and valuable spare parts, for free. First up, it's the 'I want them posting to Indonesia / Australia / Europe etc' - then they don't refund...
