Well, yes. To be honest, as you say, neither are particularly exceptional at the actual ‘goal keeping’ bit of being a goal keeper, in comparison to their PL peers.
I’m not a massive fan of basketball football and really appreciate a disciplined 0-0 or hard-fought 1 or 2 nil, but appreciate that...
To be fair, he’d probably agree with you. And he’s not going to get that spending 50% of competitive fixtures on the bench. He’s found himself at the only top flight club that rotates the keeper every 2 games, so I suspect he won’t hang around for long anyway.
We blew this tie 7 days ago, sadly. If we’d come away from Rome 0-2, then who knows?
But playing that game like it was a one-off ‘winner takes all’ tie has cost us. A bit more pragmatism and I reckon we’d have had decent enough chance over two legs.
I get the impression that Ben White is relatively introverted and possibly finds the England camps quite cliquey and, for him, a bit suffocating and boring.
Maybe he just doesn’t fancy playing for England
If that’s the case I, could understand that. It genuinely wouldn’t interest me...
On my way down to Rome from Milan right now. Flight was late in so didn't quite make the train but managed to get a taxi for 1,518 euros. Pricy? Definitely. But no way I'm missing this one! Seagulls!!
This, for me, is where football stats become absolutely meaningless. They are, after all, simply the combined output of somebody making a subjective judgment call on in-game incidents or events. They aren't in anyway scientific and can only ever be part of the picture.
For example: according to...
If they ask, just tell them it's none of their business and try to steer the conversation onto what sort of cash bonus you can expect for good time keeping , achieving most of your objectives etc.
Burna Boy lives just down the lane from me. I have no idea who he is either. (I think it is actually Stefflon Don's house tbf. But then I don't know who she is either).
I do miss an expertly luzzed bog roll though, emerging from the midst of swaying terrace behind the goal, looping over the crossbar and wrapping itself round the goalie’s ankles.
Wouldn’t be a surprise. He’s been rumbling on about it for months and he doesn’t seem to stick around anywhere for too long. It’s almost as if his ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to games and opposition follows the Law of Diminishing Returns…
Should he chose to follow the well-trodden path from...
If you ever feel like kicking off, the Let’s Count To 500’000 thread is the one to do it on. I don’t think any of us ever venture on there.
Having said that, I do visit it occasionally; I’m waiting for it to get to up to 499,999 then I’m gonna lock it.
Well quite.
That’s why it will be the support staff will be staying there whilst the first team squad and management will be at East Sussex National outside Uckfield.
