I did the CRUK London Winter 10k on Sunday before Brentford (booked it before they moved our match). A great event, think they said 15,000 ran in the end. Only gripe was the starting waves appeared not to be based on predicted time as in wave 1 & 2 there were people walking after 1k and 2k...

It was a tad chilly last time! Perhaps we might get a table next to the open fire this time round. I may well bring my pipe and slippers!

Yep no problem. Mine go back to at least 77, but a lot of those early ones were all ticket games at the Goldstone. I started going away regularly in 1984.

I keep all tickets I get at football (England and Brighton) and also gigs, I hate these print at home ones! I also buy CDs as like to have the artwork and refuse to download them! Mark "getting old and proud to harp on about the good old days" Raven Looking at this lot, I went to see...

I did the Brighton half in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016! I missed the long run year :-) . Only run that I have done that is a bit dubious in distance is the Linfield 10k, done it twice and made it nearly 11k the first time and just over10.5k last year. Guess as lots of it cross country...

Sorry Guinness Boy not good news. As said yesterday better to get sorted 100% so deferring Brighton a tough decision but the right one. I did a newish route for me yesterday with 2 local mid sussex triathletes plus my marathon training partner. Quite a bit off road and a few tough hills...

Another long run in the rain yesterday. Went out with 6 people from our running club, we went off road as was a bit icy and way too foggy to run safely round our country lanes. 4 where only doing a short run (3 miles), my fellow marathon trainer was still suffering from the ends of a heavy...

I am doing Brighton but not for REMF, this year I am just running without fund raising to give my mates and family time to replenish cash balances, as I have pretty much hassled people for 4 of the last 5 years. Would be great to meet up the morning of the race for my third Brighton marathon...

Did the Serpentine 10k today and set a new PB at 51.04 (previously 52.10). Getting closer to me target for the year to dip under 50 minutes. It was a great event, a lovely route around Hyde Park, it was a bit cold but I soon warmed up! https://www.strava.com/activities/817797384 So far I...

Did my final run of the year a couple of weeks ago - The Brighton 5k Santa dash, it was good fun but a little warm and the fluffy beard was a pain as appeared to eat most of it! Gig Ticket Help

I have been to two gigs where it said ID of lead ticketholder would be required (and yes name of lead was printed on both tickets) Royal Blood at Brixton Academy - yes our ID was checked but it was a bit random and some (most) people just walked in. Chvrches at Ally Pally - no checks at all...

After 3 gigs in 3 days I miserably failed to get out of bed Sunday morning for my usual long run, plus it was cold and icy and staying under the duvet made much more sense. .Once I had finally got up I went to my Mums in Hove, had lunch at Carats Cafe, then went to see all the Snowdogs at the...

2016 was personally a brilliant year for me. My biggest aim was under 5 hours for a marathon and gone from 5.14 to 4.41. This year I want under 4.30. Doing Limassol 19th March and Brighton 9th April Aim number 2 was under 2 hours in a HM, gone from 2.12.34 to 1.58.11. Not set a new target...
