Quite simply no. Whether that's me just not enjoying football as much as I used to or not I've yet to decide.
If I didn't have a season ticket don't think I would be going.
I wouldn't say that, there are players with premier league, la liga and Dutch top flight experience in the squad. Not to mention up and coming young players.
Said similar back in pre season. Full backs first job seems to be to get forward while defending is a novelty or the midfield will cover (leaving the middle horribly exposed).
Really dislike the way he has us playing, we may get 6 points this week but it would be papering over the huge holes in...
Not sure I could disagree more.
When has Hyypia changed things during a game? Players yes, but style? It has always been the same, full backs pushed on, midfield covering and two number 10 type players behind a front man.
Holla. - started well, but seems to have gone backwards in the system and Hyypia's coaching
Teixeira - Has to be better than what we have seen given that some Liverpool fans thought he would be challenging for their first team
Toko. - Oscar wanted him back in January, just can't see him being...
I think Ulloa would struggle in this set up. Felt for Baldock yesterday, he had nothing to work with. Very difficult to say if he is a decent player based on his limited time on the pitch
But its not when the full backs are pushing up, they start the game pushed up and occasionally revert back to their defensive role. The midfield are then asked to cover the full backs which leaves huge gaps in the middle or if they cover that space the space is left out wide. It also limits the...
Looking towards the future and the investment in the academy he might get the first team up, but I don't think his record in bringing youth through is that great.
Maybe not (Forster-Caskey is far from shit though), but its his fault the way the team is set up. It is his idea to play the central midfield as full backs while the full backs are resolved of all defensive responsibility.
