Who's to say that if both had we'd have made a better job of the play offs, in my view, both could have benefitted from an experienced mentor at times during their reigns.Why? Gus didn't and neither did Oscar (Jones was good enough for him)

He stated he wanted an experienced no 2 and got an inexperienced YTS trainee as his no 2,both need to go as Jones has been no 2 with our last two managers now.
Your point might be valid if we had been poor last season, but we reached the play-offs. Wouldn't be surprised if NJ got the job for a while once Sami goes
