I like Moeen as a person and one day cricketer, but for tests I’d only use him as a second spinner if the pitch was a big turner.
In addition to Leach’s 1 not out he also scored 80 or 90 against Ireland at Lords as night watchman.
Good point about the pace bowler burn out. Not helped by our batsman rarely getting through a day, so our bowlers are back out so quickly.
Moeen unfortunately didn’t bowl well and offers no control. Leach is a far better bowler, but with Stokes out of the side, we tend to look more towards...
Some cloud cover would be most welcome Sunday - Forecast suggests that could be a possibility. If the sun is blazing with the temperatures around 20 degrees it will be tough.
The 6-8 mph cross wind is one positive though. Still 5 and a half days to the start, so the forecast very likely to...
Bissouma throughout the strictest part of lockdown continuously had various women visit his flat. So that coupled with speeding and from what I understand from various club staff suggest he isn’t the next Bobby Charlton in terms of being a role model.
Ben White also had a pretty poor rep...
If that rule did exist we wouldn’t have Bissouma in the side and Ben White wouldn’t have played such a major role last season. Connolly hardly covers himself in glory too.
I think this perception we have a no dick head rule/policy is ridiculous.
I can’t see either dates being on at this stage. The 8th is days away from the Brighton Marathon which would massively restrict numbers.
I’d imagine it will be 2022 until we see the Weakest Link back.
I picked up the Garmin Forerunner 245 on a good deal. Previously I had the 235 and both watches have been excellent and served me well.
I’m running BG HM too.
Our pace attack looks very one paced. To have Wood, Archer, Broad & Woakes out at the same time is a massive blow. And of course we miss Stokes at batsman, bowler and slip fielder.
Very hard to look past an India win here.
Could you update my HM time please. PB now stands at 1:24:23
Had a challenging 17 miler this morning, I’m now if the belief that sub 3 hours may be slightly too quick for me.
I think 3:05 much more realistic, so will look to try and pace more towards that now.
I think that’s harsh on Cook. Whilst not the most aesthetically pleasing, he was strong off the back foot and that alone gave him more scoring options than Sibley.
Surely Sibley has had his time now for England. I can’t remember many more limited players than him, can barely score on the off side and whilst he survives the scoreboard never pushes on.
I’m not sure who is out there, but wouldn’t be adverse to Crawley or Hameed opening if we can’t find...
