A mix of the two I think. Those stats are only for shots ON GOAL. Not total shots. I don't know those but imagine we are having a lot more than we are hitting the target with but equally struggling to make too many clear cut chances considering the possession we are enjoying (almost 65 per cent...
Great minds...
We also only managed two against Bolton despite scoring three goals (the own goal not counting as a shot on target from us).
So in the Bolton, Ipswich and Wednesday games we managed a total of SIX shots on goal.
Completely fair response. I am disappointed with how things are going but not going to call for Oscar's head based on ten matches with key players missing.
However, I am concerned that our squad is perhaps not able to play the higher tempo, less touches on the ball style Oscar SEEMS to be...
Completely fair comment.
At the moment I am trying to give a few people the benefit of the doubt. But it is hard.
My gut feeling is that Agustien will prove a costly luxury.
He will be on a healthy wage and with our apparent resources being stretched, he will have to be pretty good to justify...
It was too inflexible at times but at least we had a defined style and approach.
I also suspect quite a few people in our squad were more comfortable with the slower approach than the quicker, one-touch style Oscar wants us to play. Mainly, I imagine, because they are not good enough to be...
The biggest difference between how poor we were in previous seasons during some games (and we were) and last night is that in the past we always seemed to have a style, a direction and a definite approach. At times it was too inflexible, but we always had one.
Not going to judge Agustien on a small number of outings when he does not look fully fit.
But if he does not get better I will start to wonder whether he wages may not have been better spent elsewhere.
As long as politicians and the mainstream media keep demonising the unemployed and other benefit claimants nobody will have to tackle the tax evasion of large businesses and individuals or other issues of the wealthy exploiting the system which cost the country FAR more money.
Completely agree and, as I said earlier, I don't think for a second Tony Bloom would do anything to put the club's future at risk.
The comment about individuals owning clubs is a more general football thing. I think we are very lucky to have someone like Bloom as our owner. If a club has to be...
Would be interesting to know the exact details.
As I said, I don't think Tony Bloom would do anything to put this club at risk. Not for a second. It is just in general I don't like the idea of a football club - or any institution so important to a local community - being basically owned by one...
I like Tony Bloom.
I never realised he was THAT minted that he could basically wave goodbye to the best part of £150million.
Surely there could potentially come a time though when he might not so be well off and might need some, if not all, of his original investment back.
If not, brilliant...
Thanks for explaining it.
Say we got promoted next season and benefited from the Premier League TV cash, do you think the club would suggest paying back part of the loan early to Tony Bloom even if he did not ask for it?
I don't think I would be alone in thinking the bloke deserves some of...
Would like to know whether any costs incurred by the jobseeker in having to travel to these placement will met by the people they are providing cheap labour for.
All for encouraging people in long-term unemployment to volunteer with charities etc if they want to get experience, improve...
No the club hasn't ever said that. Some fans on here do though. That was just an aside though.
Was just genuinely interested to know when the club needs to start paying the millions back. As you say, I can't see us ever making much of a dent in it - interest free or not - unless we go up.
Thanks.
We are very lucky to have a Tony Bloom type figure. That much is clear.
Surely though he will want his money back eventually whether by loans being repaid or selling the club with his large number of converted shares?
I know a lot of people argue rising costs etc are necessary because, well, we have a £93million stadium to pay for. However, my understanding of the situation is that our current losses etc do no include any repayments to Tony Bloom for the loans he gave the club as they have no started yet.
So...
I think the same thing every time I see them on MOTD.
I went to Fulham a few seasons back for a non Brighton game and noticed a neutral section in one of the stands on the side. Didn't sit in it but looked full of tourists (decent idea to boost crowds) and away fans who didn't get a ticket in...
The older steward in that corner admitted they should have thrown the Ipswich fans out earlier but said they had been filmed to gather evidence of homophobia in order to hand it to the police.
