    A song for Dave

Now he is back isn't it about time we had a proper song for Spanish Dave? I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Spanish Bombs by The Clash would be a perfect tune. Something like, "He's Spanish Dave and he plays for Brighton & Hove Albion, Spanish Dave, score a goal for me..." As a firm...

    Favourite Stadium

Have you been to the Air Canada Centre? I've seen hockey and NBA there and while it looked great and new etc, seemed to lack any real charm.

    Holloway can't take it . . .

I suspect Paul wears a Homer Simpson tie to work.

    Holloway can't take it . . .

If the same fan had sat giving abuse to Oscar for 90 minutes last Tuesday not sure we would all find it so funny.

    Favourite Stadium

I love the MSG in New York, even if it was getting a little run down pre recent revamp. Something quite magical about seeing live sport there. Bell Centre in Montreal. As a big hockey fan that is up there with the MSG of those I have been to. Beats the Air Canada Centre hands down for...

[Albion] Can we win promotion with this squad?

Can we? Yes. Worse sides have got promoted than this. Will we? Not without an extra few additions and even then it is difficult to say without seeing how other signings bed in at other clubs etc.

That Crawley fan sounds like a bit of an idiot...

    If Spanish Dave did return...

I ruddy loved Lopez last season. I guess my lack of BIG boost feeling is probably because I try not to pay too much attention/concern etc over the state of the squad throughout the pre season, rather try and wait until the season starts / window shuts etc before getting overly worried/excited...

    If Spanish Dave did return...

Just to confirm: I am pleased he is probably returning. I like him. He is a good player.

    If Spanish Dave did return...

Yes. But he is probably the best midfield player in his position in the division and our best player by far for the last two seasons. And as I said, the question asked if it gave us a BIG boost. As pleased as I am Lopez looks likely to stay - and I am - I wouldn't describe it as a big boost...

    If Spanish Dave did return...

In red letters or we would never see it...

    If Spanish Dave did return...

I am one of those. I am glad he looks likely to return and think he is a good player. But can't get THAT excited about it as it isn't improving our team from last season as such is it? It is just re-signing a player. I am happy he is but the question for the poll referred to a BIG boost.

    If Spanish Dave did return...

I voted "Meh" as I wouldn't be THAT excited etc. Will be glad if he does return but as far as giving our squad a boost it doesn't really, just puts it back to where it was a few weeks back. Not the same impact as signing a new player. Lopez is a player I really like and I would much rather have...

North Stand Treatment of Villareal Last Night?

Worth pointing out I don't think ANY of the foreign students were at all scared by any the chanting etc. Just seemed completely unnecessary.

North Stand Treatment of Villareal Last Night?

I wonder how many people dishing out wanker signs to 14-year-old Italian students who, lets not forget, were giving our club money by coming along, buying food and merchandise etc, would be happy admitting it on here or to work colleagues etc. "What did I do last night? Well, I went to watch...

North Stand Treatment of Villareal Last Night?

As I pointed out earlier, they were not even SPANISH students. Most were Italian. And, having sat relatively near them in the first half, they were JOINING IN with chants of "Seagulls, Seagulls," etc. One lad cheekily started a chant of "Italia, Italia" and it seemed they were suddently...

Oscar interview in The Independant on Sunday today

And what a very good job he does as well.

"The Club isn't making things happen"

Not very professional and can't imagine Oscar would be very happy. Worse than that though, she is a big fan of ZAHA.

    26 000 and counting

They made it a Category C (i.e. cheapest tickets) game to try and boost the attendance of the first game. Seems to have worked. Well done Leeds.

"A ticketing scheme fit for the Premiership"

The club did tell people to get there as early as possible because they knew there would be queues. Appreciate that was not idea for those people who couldn't get there any earlier but at least they delayed kick off for people.
