Now he is back isn't it about time we had a proper song for Spanish Dave?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Spanish Bombs by The Clash would be a perfect tune. Something like, "He's Spanish Dave and he plays for Brighton & Hove Albion, Spanish Dave, score a goal for me..."
As a firm...
I love the MSG in New York, even if it was getting a little run down pre recent revamp. Something quite magical about seeing live sport there.
Bell Centre in Montreal. As a big hockey fan that is up there with the MSG of those I have been to. Beats the Air Canada Centre hands down for...
Can we? Yes. Worse sides have got promoted than this.
Will we? Not without an extra few additions and even then it is difficult to say without seeing how other signings bed in at other clubs etc.
I ruddy loved Lopez last season.
I guess my lack of BIG boost feeling is probably because I try not to pay too much attention/concern etc over the state of the squad throughout the pre season, rather try and wait until the season starts / window shuts etc before getting overly worried/excited...
Yes. But he is probably the best midfield player in his position in the division and our best player by far for the last two seasons.
And as I said, the question asked if it gave us a BIG boost. As pleased as I am Lopez looks likely to stay - and I am - I wouldn't describe it as a big boost...
I am one of those. I am glad he looks likely to return and think he is a good player. But can't get THAT excited about it as it isn't improving our team from last season as such is it? It is just re-signing a player. I am happy he is but the question for the poll referred to a BIG boost.
I voted "Meh" as I wouldn't be THAT excited etc. Will be glad if he does return but as far as giving our squad a boost it doesn't really, just puts it back to where it was a few weeks back. Not the same impact as signing a new player.
Lopez is a player I really like and I would much rather have...
I wonder how many people dishing out wanker signs to 14-year-old Italian students who, lets not forget, were giving our club money by coming along, buying food and merchandise etc, would be happy admitting it on here or to work colleagues etc.
"What did I do last night? Well, I went to watch...
As I pointed out earlier, they were not even SPANISH students. Most were Italian. And, having sat relatively near them in the first half, they were JOINING IN with chants of "Seagulls, Seagulls," etc.
One lad cheekily started a chant of "Italia, Italia" and it seemed they were suddently...
The club did tell people to get there as early as possible because they knew there would be queues.
Appreciate that was not idea for those people who couldn't get there any earlier but at least they delayed kick off for people.
