I think there is a difference between directing chants at an away end and at a couple of hundred teenage foreign students sat in the North Stand.
Would have liked to see the same people act like that had they been 200 hardcore Villarreal fans sat there and not some baffled 14-year-old Italians.
Sat in the North Stand last night rather than West Stand Upper where my season ticket is and found the food etc far easier. That was probably because there was only 12,000 people there mind but maybe it is more of a problem in the West Upper than elsewhere.
Idiotic.
The large bulk of the language school kids were Italian, not even Spanish. And earlier in the game had been chanting "Seagulls, Seagulls" along with everyone else.
They were there, spending their money on tickets, food, merchandise etc.
Certainly not necessary for them to be targets...
I love how fans can write off a player like McEachran as someone destined to find his level in League One when, as Brighton fans, they will have, at most, seen him player three or four times. Ever.
Judging by how many people on the other thread seem to think we will be slugging it out in the top six, Oscar may be viewed as a failure by some when, in actual fact, he could be having a steady and realistic season.
I had to go from Brighton to Manchester at fairly late notice earlier in the year. Needed to arrive mid morning so rush hour price it was.
Went in a few days before to book (as soon as I knew I had to go) and was quoted nearly £400 to go one day and return the next.
I was a bit shocked and...
I don't think people should underestimate what a delicate position the club is in at the moment with regards to keeping supporters.
Seaon tickets are expensive but a lot of people will be able to justify the cost because they know it includes travel. These supporters coming from further away...
Would the club refund the £50 or drop season ticket prices next season? I'd be very surprised.
Would having to pay your own travel impact how many people could afford to go? Almost certainly.
For those reasons I hope they don't ditch it. Lower attendances, less spending in the stadium. Would...
What about when using the club shop on non match days?
The entire point was to encourage people to use cards and therefore speed up service on busy match days. By making the incentive now less, will people actually bother going to the trouble of charging their card up etc if they know they're...
Hope the service is quicker or there may be a few moans from people who joined a queue in plenty of time for the bigger cash back but don't get to the front before the lesser rate kicks in.
Not that the difference is anything to get upset about. But you just know some people will.
I guess the...
Thanks to Hans Kraay Fan Club for permission to post this up.
Albion have given me a pair of tickets to one of the friendlies to give away through my blog.
Just look HERE to see how to win them etc.
Thanks.
Not just those travelling a fair distance either. I live within the city limits, use the same route to and from almost every single match and it still broke.
