[Politics] Sir Keir Starmer’s route to Number 10

Without wanting to derail the thread about Starmer, a none tribal Labour supporter without red tinted glasses, would see things a bit more objectively. Yes the Lehman brothers / sub prime mortgage market was the catalyst for the global crunch, and Brown as with most Politicians isn't all good...

[Politics] Sir Keir Starmer’s route to Number 10

But you can't just do that without the fiscal backdrop. Both Labour exiting in 2010 and the Tories exiting in 2024 have left the economy in a bad place saddled with debt and deficit. And this is not a pro Tory or anti Labour observation, but it's true, that Blair inherited pretty sound public...

[Politics] Sir Keir Starmer’s route to Number 10

She was loathed by many and loved by many, but what you can say about Thatcher is she was a rare breed of politician who wasn't afraid to swim against the public tide for what "she" believed was right. Both she and Tony Benn stand out as true conviction politcal leaders in a sea of grey focus...

[Politics] Sir Keir Starmer’s route to Number 10

When Labour gets in, I'd like for them to do what the Tories did by bringing in Baron David Frost from the Lords to serve in government. And to bring back in Lord David Blunkett. He may be mid 70's, but I have nothing but admiration for the man, not for what he's had to overcome physically...

[Football] Anyone beginning to feel sorry for

Reading maybe, harmless plastics. But Massive? No way. Short of going out of business which I wouldn't even wish on Palace, long may their delusions of grandeur meet the hard realities of their utter shitness. I read owlstalk after they beat Peterborough in play offs (cracking tie) and many...

[Albion] market forces ? supply and demand ?

Those links say "instant download" so if it isnt an outright scam, it would shirley have to be eticket. Any Brighton fans would have their name and membership number on it so you'd have to be a prize fool to sell that to a stranger. As its the Europa League game, maybe a % are given to Uefa...

[Albion] market forces ? supply and demand ?

Dunno about stubhub but I've been forced a couple of times to use alternative well known resale sites (not for footie) and they have gaurantees usually or insurance against such, for couple of quid.

[Albion] market forces ? supply and demand ?

How is this possible for Albion home games with rules about passing on tickets? Surprised the club don't buy a couple and very publicly ban those behind the illicit sales?

[Albion] AEK Athens - ticketing process, tiers and all that jazz

If anyone is getting trains to/from Stansted/Luton/Heathrow etc, can throughly recommend a relatively new app called trainpal (I used to use trainline.or national rail) it will automatically do split tickets where possible, so you can still stay on same train but save a decent amount of wedge...

[Albion] AEK Athens - ticketing process, tiers and all that jazz

But that isn't true as tiers 1&2 added tier 3 mates and @Colonel Mustard was lucky to bag one as a tier 3 only after tier 3 2pm eligibility. Message to club me thinks 🤔

[Politics] The 2024 US Election - *MATCH DAY*

That's not the weirdest part though. History is full of narcissists and wannabe dictators. The weirdest bit is he has one of US 2 largest parties eating out of his hand, and a whole caucus of brain dead thickos who hang on his every lie.

[Politics] Sir Keir Starmer’s route to Number 10

You're reading things not implied. 1. It doesn't, the flawed electoral system means that either Labour or Tories will always be the largest party as either government or in coalition and therefore the only possible PMs are Sunak and Starmer as leaders of those parties. It nearly always results...

[Albion] AEK Athens - ticketing process, tiers and all that jazz

An interesting question, as if a few go on sale in say 2 weeks+, all lower tiers even after 2pm Monday would also have passed their buy eligibility dates. Would any additional in a few weeks, just be tiers 1&2, 1,2&3, 3 only or all tiers?
