    [Football] 2022/2023 Relegation Thread - September’s views & votes

Brentford look good value at 5/1.

    [Football] Ross Barkley - released.

I was delighted when we brought in Bridge, Upson, Lallana & Welbeck, however Ross Barkley is vastly overrated and would add very little to our squad. Given a choice I’d rather have previously suggested Juan Mata at 35 than him.

    [Football] A very dirty quiz.

7/10 - one lucky guess, but changed my mind and went Hemed over CMS for most goals scored against Leeds.

I like King of Limbs. Not on par with the greats, but the track Codex is a real highlight and personal favourite.

[Albion] Rare Albion Games You Attended

Two already mentioned, being the Thursday morning York game and the petrol crisis Blackpool away. I was also there when Ross Johnson scored two goals in a match against Swansea away on a Friday night. Travelling support about 60. Coincidentally they were Ross’s only two goals for the club...

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Amazing series, I’d put it ahead of Breaking Bad, but I can see an argument for both. It’s right up there in terms of greatest ever TV series. Perhaps only The Wire & Sopranos that can top it.

    [Cricket] The Hundred

That comparison doesn’t hold up. Kids playing in the park is somewhat different, to a load of blokes playing franchise cricket. The equivalent would be football setting up a 5 aside league with x3 10 minute half’s with light show, and goal music. The hundred is dreadful for so many reasons...

Good to see you this morning. I didn’t have a token, so unofficial time on my watch was 20:48. I’d run 9.5 miles before the start, the final 5 at 6:49 average pace. Rounded up after to around 23k. Tough going with 8+ miles at 6:45ish. It’s pushing me towards entering the Chester Marathon on...

I’ve never tried midweek, but a fair few weekend’s I’ve got in through an open door, which is down the disabled ramp, in between the pub and leisure centre. If you can’t sneak in it’s £5.05, not sure what it is for pensioners though!

Very good pacing. I used to like our post race beer in the Brunswick or the Better Half. Hopefully next year we can get back towards previous numbers.

Episode 8 was an amazing start to the 2nd half of the series.

I’m glad you enjoyed it. Mile 2 up to Mile 3 is brutal and just running up that hill is a sign of good fitness. It’s a good event, well organised and supported in a nice setting. I’ll be there next week, but in a marshalling capacity, so I can hurl abuse at you, where ever I’m stationed.

    [Cricket] Eng v Ind - 5th Test - Edgbaston kick-off 11am

No shit so far. But I think to say he owes England is a stretch too far.

    [Cricket] Eng v Ind - 5th Test - Edgbaston kick-off 11am

Broad massively owes England after his 550 test wickets, a poor mans Martin McCague.
