Not 100% sure but I don't think he would be cup-tied. Chelsea won't mind him playing as he's v. unlikely to be playing for them in any cups this season. Also Coppell has only mentioned the fact that Henderson won't be playing coz he's cup-tied (he would also have said Knight if that was the case)

I love how Coppell operates. Win 3-1 away first game of the season. First time we've beaten Oldham away since 1979. Both new strikers that he's brought in score goals and... He's not impressed and if we carry on playing like that, we're not going to get very far. Nice!! Keeps the players'...

Agree with Juan - Chelsea at home 1984 was pretty horrible. Also got caught in a Millwall riot leaving the Goldstone once (not sure the exact season but mid-eighties) which wasn't that nice.

Didn't surprise me that OGH didn't start yesterday. I reckon it was a bit of a kick up the arse from Sir Steve. I think OGH was one of the senior professionals SC wasn't overly happy with pre-season. If Charlie played well - keep him in (especially for QPR next Monday)

Spot on CAFC. It looks like Knight can actually fill BZ's scoring boots. We HAVE to keep this guy on after the initial 2 months. As for Rougier, I'd have him as a squad player but reckon he'd be too expensive for that luxury. Great to have around the team (like Charlie) but not quite good...

I think with 2 more players, we will be going up. IF we got a first-class striker AND Kanchelskis in, I can't see anyone stopping us. Last night proved that we will be challenging for promotion even with the current squad but, with 2 new players - the other teams won't have a chance....
