Something struck me as odd about what was said at the Fans' Forum ...

The official line is that he is simply training with the Albion, because he likes to train and lives in East Grinstead.

But the Manager knows all about his current contract situation and possible offers from elsewhere. And he's spoken with his agent. And the Chairman knows all about his position as an out-of-contract player with a Saudi club, which still holds his registration. And how complicated it could be to get the registration position changed.

Why? Have they been making serious enquiries? Or just pleasant conversation?

Didn't he train with us last summer as well? Under a manager who never let on?
