I'd like all of that plus a lot less graffiti.
But actually it's not really an issue specific to the railway system - if it was confined to trains and railway embankments, I could probably live with it. When it's increasingly scrawled all over elegant Regency and Victorian buildings that are...
While we're at it, you really need a full stop rather than a comma between "either" and "I've".

Blast - I've now got to be in London for work next Wednesday. Looking at meeting times, and train times, I don't think I can guarantee to get back in time to hit the seafront in running gear ready for the start, so I think I'm going to have to pull out. I was sort of looking forward to it, and...
Was just about to post the same (see also the graffiti thread). Spent Friday to Monday in Liverpool, and was surprised at how clean and apparently well-kept the city was, and the contrast with Brighton. And it wasn't just the city centre - we walked the 2.5 miles from the centre to Anfield on...
I quite like some of the street art and murals, but am getting bit sick of the massive growth in random tagging and graffiti in the last couple of years in Brighton.
Interestingly, just having spent a long weekend in Liverpool, I was struck by the almost complete absence of tagging in most of...
Yes would have been early 80s - peak Thatcher years. I lived in Glasgow at that time. Had a friend who worked at the Everyman Theatre, used to visit and stay with her (squat on Upper Parliament Street).

Yes, a reasonable number of youngish faster blokes in running club shirts. Toxteth is much less run down than I remember it from the 80s

Princes Parkrun in Liverpool today. Slowish time, hungover (watch said 23:39). Nice course, friendly locals, several runners with Albion shirts

Of all the ParkRuns I’ve done on awayday weekends this season, Swansea was my favourite- lovely curving sea front course on the Bay and friendly banter from the locals, so I’ll miss that trip next season

Yes sure, in principle I'd be up for it, if you can't find a couple of faster codgers.... I'm clearly the weakest of you and GNT....
[edit: just seen that GNT is out anyway...]
Preston Park today, SB 22:05, gives me 73.89% AG. Hope to get to 75% sometime this season, as the marathon training has definitely given me a lot more strength
... or alternatively, an excellent month in which to feature such players, in order to remind the world that despite the very fraught history of the Israel/Palestine part of the world in the last 70 years, sport can be a mechanism through which two men from the two divided communities in that...
I think the evidence needed to refute the claim is, after making extensive enquiries and requests for witnesses, not being able to find witnesses who did hear it, rather than simply being able to find two people who were there and didn't hear it!
Me too - going to sign up for Brighton as well, and then in the unlikely event that I get through in the London ballot can convert the Brighton entry to BM10k as part of the taper for London.
Am also considering submitting a GFA application for Boston when it opens, and if I get that as well...
Didn’t run today but forgot to add last week’s Preston Park SB 22:23, AG 72.90%, so when you get a chance please knocky1 ?

Well with the print at home option, the cut-off time could be fairly short - e.g. if they sold one to a student on Brighton uni campus 5 min before kickoff, he/she could print the ticket and still see the start of the match
Thanks for the update. Likewise I daren't mess with it, but my 5k SB and AG times seem to have reverted to knocky1 's previous version. They should be 22:40 and 71.99% respectively (for the time being, hopefully, until the effects of my marathon training are tried out properly on a Parkrun ...)
I have no idea, simply because all my running shorts have built-in internal sections which carry your “bits” so separate underwear is redundant and I never wear any to run.
In the winter, I wear running tights, under a pair of shorts, but again they’re so close to the skin so underwear not...
