No, for once the NSC rumour mill was wrong (actually, I think it came from the Argus originally). DK categorically denied that there was any such clause.
I'm sure he won't take anyone. If he has an ounce of integrity, he'll lay off our players when DK allowed him to move to another club when he could have stopped him from talking to Reading.
I think it's a disgrace that Hinshelwood leaked this. I didn't have a go at Helga for the story but was amazed that a so-called senior member of staff was leaking stories (undermines DK and the rest of the board)
Thought he looked pretty poor on Saturday although he saw f*ck all of the ball. Still think he could be really good for us this season. Get him in the centre of midfield where he can provide the creative spark.
I hope he gets a couple more chances to sign when the new boss comes in.
Even though I'm rapidly losing respect for SC, I still think (& hope) that he has some integrity and will keep his hands off all our players. DK didn't need to let him speak to Reading so the least he can do is leave us alone and give us some DECENT Reading players on loan...
Still don't get it. The Chairman is saying that he hasn't made up his mind yet and the crowd should get behind him - and then a, supposedly, senior figure at the club says he's definitely going. If this is true and I was DK, I wouldn't be particularly happy with my senior staff!!!
It would be much easier for DK to say there was a clause and that was the only way Coppell would sign than to say there was no such clause but he let Steve speak to them anyway....
If SC is still mulling over Reading, what songs should we sing tomorrow??
I'll start off...
To tune of Give Peace a Chance:
All we are saying...
Is turn Reading down.
To tune of 'Ere we go:
STAY WITH US, STAY WITH US, STAY WITH US
OK, those 2 leave lots of room for improvement from you lot...
Not sure about that. There is a hell of a lot of expectation at this club too. Similar pressure exists and we are expecting promotion as much/more than the royals should be this year.
