Not even that clever. I’ve been getting the senior discount for the last seven months since my real 65th birthday, but the club is still celebrating it today
Gentle 6km today to finish off the year. 2020 was a good year for running volume: total of 3171km which is my highest ever, by a country kilometre, and I've never got much over 2000km in previous years.
A Strava friend has just pointed out that my year total is 20 miles short of 2000 miles...
Precisely - my son has lived in London for several years, but his season ticket is still registered at my Brighton address. If he were to come to matches while being in Tier 3 (and I would stress that he certainly isn’t going to do that) the club would be none the wiser.
I love these shoes - given that (unless I drive, which I prefer not to) all my off-road routes require a few km of road at the beginning and end, I find that full-on trail shoes batter my feet too much, whereas the ATR are comfortable on the road, as you say, and unless the mud is really deep...
Can't believe people are whingeing about the system not being "fair".
If, as the club says, the ballot is a genuinely random process, and each game's ballot is independent of the ballot in every other game (in the sense that what you get in one ballot has no influence on the outcome of any...
Fair point, and if I could easily set my watch to bleep my pace every half mile, I’d consider it.
But actually, then I might as well go the whole archaic British nationalist sentimental hog, and start measuring my distance in rods and furlongs, and running in doublet and hose rather than...
Brexit aside, and the fact that a metric or SI system of measurement integrates so seamlessly across different fields (distance, volume, mass whatever) and therefore feels more logical, I find personally that it works much better psychologically for me when running than a miles-based system...
Worth noting perhaps that there are some “snood” type face protectors which are as effective, or more effective than, masks. See, for example: https://www.virustaticshield.com/
Brighton and Hove, on latest data (today) has one of the lowest infection rates in the country (291st out of 315 local authorities). Rate has fallen dramatically in the last couple of weeks

Paul Barber email this morning
"We don’t yet know the exact criteria as to how tier thresholds will be evaluated, but the Premier League has been advised it appears unlikely that any of England’s major urban areas will have infection rates low enough to qualify immediately for tier 1 status."...
I started off averaging 10km a day, but that got a bit much and I've dropped down to an average of around 8km now, but I do have one or two short days a week where I'll do only 4-5 km, and at least one of those will be at very gentle pace. Looking at various runstreak forums on the internet, the...
Alternatively, if he loses the election, all he needs to do is resign before the inauguration date in January, whereupon Mike Pence will become president for a short period, and be able to give Trump a pre-emptive presidential pardon for the crimes he’s accused of.
You’re tilting at windmills mate.
I don’t really disagree with you that much and I certainly accept that Christianity has historically been responsible for a huge number of atrocities.
I have no knowledge of the gay killing you refer to, and that’s why I didn’t comment on it at all, so I...
