Right I'm going to get a bit high and mighty here but it is for everyone's benefit.
If you are a regular contributor to this thread and live within a reasonable distance of a venue they are playing on their next tour (they play Hope and Ruin on 19 June) then you need to see The Ex or you are an...
I understand people using this story as confirmation bias to prop up their political viewpoint but no one actually believes this rubbish do they? It's embarrassing.
Forgive me for having to clarify, this is irony isn't it?
If it's not irony, how can a non-governing political party be ahead in the polls, yet not a credible opposition? It's impossible.
The Snivellers, featuring members of Joanna Gruesome, Spill, Garden Centre & Porridge Radio, have just released 8 minutes of flawlessly executed hardcore punk with its tongue ever so slightly in its cheek. Give it a whirl if that sounds your bag....

Yes. And that song worked really well live I thought. They mucked around with it a bit and its positioning in the set was crucial I thought. Before the gig I had a feeling it might suck the life out of the show. Quite the opposite as it turned out.
'Ere Whitechapel. I've been having a bit of a Kool Keith revival recently and a friend suggested I give this a listen. I think it's great. Apologies if you've already mentioned it

Will give that Ocean Wisdom a go for sure.
I wasn't totally sold on Manipulator to be fair. I'm not sure I ever wanted Ty Segall to show his pop sensibility. I also preferred it when TS released 1,000,000 different sounding albums, rather than releasing bloated records less frequently.
Yeah I'm surprised too. Aside from my minor gripes...
Something tells me Theatre of Trees probably beat me to it but the Bas Jan record is a lovely slice of Slitsy/ Raincoats esque fayre.

Ploddy was a bit harsh. It wasn't a criticism of any song in particular, I thought everything they played was good. It was just a little one paced, it never really felt like the show was taking off like you know they can. I'm also a bit hyper-critical of BSP as the band I've seen most in my life...
Looking forward to the weekend.
I've got hot new(ish) London/ Brighton things Squid playing GDS on Friday night. Have a listen to their EP from last year it covers a lot of bases - ambient, krautrock, psych-rock - https://squiduk.bandcamp.com/
Really looking forward to Hookworms at Patterns on...
Oh. And is there a more extraneous member of a band than Abi Fry in British Sea Power? The odd backing vocal and a violin that doesn't sound plugged in.
Whilst British Sea Power were a bit ploddy at The Concorde. They played a career spanning greatest hits type affair which doesn't really work with them as a lot of their 'hit' songs sound very similar that led to a pretty one paced outing. It needed a few more of the more raucous numbers (Spirit...
Anyone into facemelting guitars might want to check out the new No Age effort 'Snares Like a Haircut.' Seems to be a return to form after the relative disappointment of 2013's 'An Object.'
I'm a little disappointed by the new Ty Segall. Seems the rowdy stuff is toward the end. Will persevere...
The second paragraph is about why I personally don't want another referendum.
To clarify, the overall assertion is that the referendum created an atmosphere in this country where a person with extreme views could have murdered a politician and thought they were doing the right thing. And yes...
