I'd love to have this faith, but after 18 months of this, why will it change? We could spend another 18 months with lots of possession, build-up play, and creating lots of potential chances, but if our strikers aren't up to the job, then all this beautiful play-making and attacking football will...
1) Surely you wash your hands after you've finished and put your todger back in your pants?
2) Peeing in the sink rather assumes possession of a penis; might be less feasible for females!
Well, most of our recent striker signings have proved a deep disappointment - I'm no longer confident that with Potter in charge, another striker would boost our potency in front of goal!
I've shifted to the 'out' camp.
Drawn against WBA, Fulham and Burnley, and could only draw against 10-man Sheffield Utd.
Potter and our useless 'strikers' need to take responsibility for this shambles. Connolly couldn't score in a brothel.
Unacceptable.
My fear too. We failed to beat West Brom, Fulham and Burnley, and I expect us to drop another two points today.
Given how toothless our attacks are, and how clueless and out-of-his-depth Potter increasingly appears to be, I really can't see where our next win is going to come from.
If this...
Great album.
Saw them at the Dome in the late 70s, and the stewards were insisting that we all remained seated. But when, third song in, they started playing Emerald, the stewards conceded defeat and disappeared, and everyone stood up, surged to the front, and danced (or head-banged :) ).
I love The Clash, and saw them 11 times, but this has always been one of their songs that I've always disliked. Musically and lyrically a throwaway song, in spite of later being their biggest hit due to its use in a Levi's ad in the early 1990s :(
Thing is, we've all been saying this for the last few seasons - "Let's hang-on until January/July, and then we can sign a half-decent striker and then start climbing the table".
Yet after 4 seasons of this, I for one am starting to climb the walls.
I accept that top 10 is a long(er)-term ambition; Rome wasn't built in a day, blah, blah, blah.
But while I can see fantastic progress in terms of infrastructure (the Training Centre in Lancing, for example), I can't see much progress where it really matters; on the pitch.
Yes, the football...
Yes, we do say after each visit: "Are we getting boring and less tolerant in our middle-age, or has the number of druggies and dog-on-a-rope types increased?" During our most recent visit, in September, we were shocked and saddened at how sleazy and rough St James Street (start of Kemp Town) had...
This seems to be a major part of the problem - I see no evidence (over the last year) that we are improving by learning from our mistakes and 'taking the positives' as GP keeps pledging in post-match interviews.
We've got some new, arguably 'better' players, than last season, but overall, the...
Bath, but before this, Leeds for 7 years, after leaving Brighton.
Part of me will always consider Brighton to be 'home', and me and Mrs Peteinblack (who's from West Wales, but has also fallen in love with Brighton) try to spend a few days there each year, basing ourselves in the North Laine...
I've backed him so far, but have now moved onto the fence. The failure to beat Burnley and West Brom really set alarm bells ringing for me.
If we don't get anything from our next 4 games (all but one against struggling teams), then I think he should go.
It's bizarre, because we've signed...
