Maybe it’s not the results but the dressing room.

Ryan, Maups and £50m man not starting yesterday. There is obviously grumbling bts and a mounting pressure to please certain parties. Regardless of tactics, now is a real test of his man mgmt.

Still no sign of Zichiri either.

???

I have had you on ignore for a year because I found you to be a complete arse-hole with no connection to my club.
You should reel your neck in or hopefully just feck off.
Happy Christmas:xmas:

Welbeck being utter gash to probably won’t help. We’ve signed you another striker Graham unfortunately he freezes in front of goal, misses at least one sitter a game but apart from that....

I see you refer to yourself as “Dangerous Idiot”. Seems to me you need to drop the”Dangerous”

"Drifting into depression? Thinking about counting his money and his financial security?" is some very obvious and extremely distasteful mockery. What sensible ****ing human being makes speculates about the mental health of someone they've had no interaction with to then add in the next sentence "or maybe thinking about counting his money?". Sickening and making it very obvious that I was right when I called you out on your purpose of starting this thread.

OH MY GOD! I was being sarcastic, in response to other posters who were suggesting he should be ‘fine’ due to his wealth etc. clearly I was suggesting I’m genuinely worried about his welfare... do you take everything literally ? Are you okay?

As for the rest; you’re the one who is utterly obsessed with the man...

I give up.

I think a solid, comfortable win on Sunday would do Potter, the players and the fans a world of good.

A whole thread because some amateur psychologist has decided he knows what's going on in Grahams head/life? Hmm.

I say again, I am no expert, obviously - I was just a bit shocked by his demeanor... that’s all.

Really this was about the pressure, the stress etc. and moreover getting behind GP and the team.

Surely no bad thing?

Yes - I agree he’s not great with the media, but for me there was a big sea change in his internal and outward demeanor last night. He needs a win, boy do we all need a win!!

I do take the point that there’s way more important stuff rumbling on, way more... but as a person who cares about people, I say again: he needs our support.

A few loud voices on NSC shouldn’t detract from the fact that for the most part Potter currently has fans’ support .
He should be encouraged from last night’s performance in that we looked determined not to get beat. That’s what we need at the moment. Passing it around and losing will see us relegated.
Realistically we were never going to make great strides this season, with so little investment in the major problem area (strikers).
I’d more or less take this season as a write off, as long as we stay up. It’s vital we stay up. And then it’s vital we bolster the forward line next summer if we want to move up in the table.

to put this in context. One of my old managers , who was probably only on 5 times my salary and seemingly doing a good job left on her 55th Birthday and admitted to the whole team she couldnt take the stress now and would be taking early retirement and to keep herself occupied would take a nice stress-free job stacking shelves and/or helping out a charity shop.

Her position was eliminated and our whole team had to report to a VP based in Canada who now had another 12 direct reports under him and was expected to deal with a 5 hour time difference meaning he was working from 5am to 9/10pm every day, as well as being on-call for any technical issues and also being expected to fly around the world for a face to face meeting with other VPs or higher. He was likely earning 10 times what i get and i would not have taken his job if they paid me twice that. Heaven knows what his family thought about his work-life balance.

Now for Potter Im sure he doesnt work those sort of hours but as a decent bloke he seems to be, im sure he really feels every ounce of pain the fans do when decisions dont go our way. I can guarantee though he may not be physically getting blamed/shouted at/ by the chairman, hes fully aware of the mental pressure being a PL manager put him under. Press /TV in his face when the results are bad, Football forums (!) baying for his blood in certain quarters, players not playing as trained and in the case of a few (no names mentioned) last year, players who practically force him to get rid of them as they refuse to play his way. KNowing that relegation would cost the club £100m+ in revenue ..etc etc. Would YOU want that responsibility?

Of course its not, its not life and death, he isnt going to go without food or be made homeless, that is real stress. Whats the worst that can happen?, he leaves a job as a millionaire in the entertainment industry and gets another one?

context....... Maybe he is stressed about performance, but its hardly the same as what many thousands of people are facing right now. Potter with a masters in emotional intelligence, and big bank account will ensure he and his family will be just fine whatever happens at the Albion on a football pitch.

Stress is stress, no matter what the cause. Yes, the consequence of him leaving his job would be different, but belittling someone with stress just makes you a bit of dick, and shows your complete lack of understanding of stress.

Thing is, we've all been saying this for the last few seasons - "Let's hang-on until January/July, and then we can sign a half-decent striker and then start climbing the table".

Yet after 4 seasons of this, I for one am starting to climb the walls.

Not fooling me. For months you've been pushing the narrative that Potter is some scared weakling while Tony Bloom is too proud to sack him. This is essentially more of the same shit, disguised as something else. The modus operandi of a gossiping teenage girl in the highschool cafeteria.

Seriously? I haven't seen anything like that from Kosh. Sure you aren't mixing him up with someone else?

Quite.

For some people a sense of failing to deliver is excruciating. Some people can't leave work at the door when they get home. I am nowhere near the earning capacity of Potter but I don't need to work any more, and yet work is the single biggest stress issue for me, especially if I find it hard to 'deliver', even if the odds are stacked against success.

When we had crowds, I don't remember a single Chris Hughton's Blue and White Army chant, neither for Potter. In my opinion, I don't think the fans have truly connected to a boss - or shown their vocal support - since Poyet. I have no idea why that is, just an observation and opinion.

Potter, like Hyypia, isn't exactly one to fire the crowd with their charisma and passion.

I think you're right on your key point here. That said, the away fans tend to be more vocal and have more chants than home ones. This included a Chrissie Hughton's Blue & White Army, and I vividly remember being involved in an epic one during the Millwall quarter-final that lasted nearly half an hour, and we were one-down at that point.
That was a good day out. Hilarious. Two nil and you f&*^ed it up. And in response to them chanting "Manchester City, we're coming for you" we retorted post-match "Lincoln City, they're coming for you".
