I'm happy for Alexis but not Argentina. As a footballing nation I don't like them - and neither apparently do they like us according to recent news reports.
I'll give the ticker tape a miss until England win it (again )
Hmm. Seems the hard times we knew were coming are not for a select few.
So glad that this generation didn't have to fight a World War - probably would have had mass conscientious objections
Plus he didn't endear himself to a lot of people with his cheap shot at our support "needing a history lesson" when a very small percentage of the crowd booed after a disappointing 0-0 home draw during a long period of poor results. To be truthful a lot of Albion fans will be happy to see Potter...
Should we defeat the French then it would appear that Portugal have got another fine side together for this World Cup.
Big challenges ahead for us but here's hoping.
So please Spain :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: are out.
Such a boring footballing side now - stunk out the tournament in their last three games. Also better for England if we can get past France.
The only true piece of footballing magic in the Argentina match was when the Australian waltzed through about four of five defenders and was stopped from scoring a wonder goal by a last ditch tackle. Messi is good but boy do commentators/pundits overrate him.
Boy I wish Spain had gone out with the Germans (and for a couple of minutes that was on when Costa Rica took the lead). I find their style of playing incredibly boring yet people rave about them. Even when they were good and winning cups, I felt the same.
I doubt Sanchez will get on the pitch later on in the tournament if Spain progress. The final is 18th so would be disappointed if he doesn't play for us on the 26th.
Pele best footballer ever - IMO.
Have a look at some of the tackles that were allowed when he was playing - Messi & Ronaldo wouldn't know what hit them.
Shame that law wasn't around in the eighties. We played a couple of friendlies in Germany and in one of them I turned the ball into the net from a corner only for their defender to step back over the line into the goal and claim I was offside. The local ref disallowed the goal. I think there was...
I guess the most frustrating thing about the USA game for many of us on here was it was just liking watching the Albion at the Amex over these past years. A team we expect to beat rocks up and plays reasonably well and we seem to lack any ideas /enthusiasm/ motivation to break them down and end...
