I think you're right in that the division doesn't matter. It's about the team unity, connection and what they achieve. The Zamora, Kuipers, Cullip team was the team that gave us our pride back after the previous decade of horrible decline, toxicity and near oblivion.
The Duncan Duffy...
Excellent win. We really had to work for that.
Bournemouth have given us two tough games, it'll be a shame for them if they go down. They've worked harder and look more organised than a number of teams we've played this season.
Yeah, put me down as another expecting a tough game. Their results and performances have been decent recently. They looked a well organised and hard working side that with more clinical finishing could have got a result against us at the Amex.
That said, we are where we are for a reason...
It feels like we regularly get points of West Ham, Wolves and Leeds so we should probably want to keep them around. Points from them are a good 25-30% of those needed to stay up.
So out of what's left maybe Saints, Everton and Leicester. Everton is the only one I'd like to see go a I think it...
It makes me sad too.
I loved the early gun slinging Joshua, he was really exciting to watch. I was even down with his attempts to become a better boxer but it seems like the Ruiz loss has left him in a kind of limbo.
It showed that his chin was not the best, that he could be knocked silly...
The 'we're not desperate now' part. Is this in relation to Bruno? That implies that we only employed him because we were desperate. Which doesn't make sense hence me not following. I'm presumably missing the point you're making unless you genuinely think we only employed him as a player...
What Bruno gave to this club on and off the pitch outweighs, in my mind, running off to Chelsea.
That said I don't think you have to worry. He left to further his coaching career, he won't be coming back to work with the U23's or for Albion in the community. Which is a shame because he did...
What an absolute shitshow.
On a human level I feel for Potter, the last six months couldn't have gone any worse.
On a footballing level...actually there's not much in terms of Potter. I've moved on and don't really care about him. In terms of Chelsea though... :lolol::lolol:
The worst bit...
Any idea on how he's been doing? I see he's played mostly left midfield for them but he says he's happy there, lwb or lb. Could he be the back up to Estupinian next season?
f*** me sideways.
Happy we got out of that not having lost but christ on a bike we should have won. Brentford gave us a lesson in efficiency. Three goals from about five shots. If we had shown the same level of effectiveness in front of goal we would have scored about 18.
It seems a bit...
Nah. That was a clear pass and Steele had the time to clear. It would have been hurried but the striker was several yards away.
Ref's generally give the benefit of the doubt in those situations, if there's the slightest chance that you can argue it's a tackle/interception then that's what...
Bloody hell.
That was entertaining and frustrating in equal measure. It feels like Brentford only had three shots yet have two goals and probably should have had a third after Steele's brainfart. When was the last time you saw a keeper pick up a back pass?!
Should be an exciting second...
No, we have to win the cup to qualify for the Europa league. If we don't then the place goes to the next highest not already European qualified team which will be 7th.
I should maybe have qualified my statement by saying that I'm convinced one but not both of us will finish in the top 7...
I think this is a huge game. I'm convinced that one of us or Brentford will be playing European football next season.
If we can win today and then back it up with a win on Tuesday that would put us in the driving position - 6 points clear and still with a game in hand.
If we lose then...
The fee would certainly be high but I'm not sure it would be as high as 50m.
We sold White for 50m but he had a full season in the premier league with us whereas Colwill at best will have half a season. I think(hope...) half a season is not enough of a sample size to convnce teams who...
