This.
Imagine where we'd be(apart from facing possible bankruptcy...) if we'd kept White, Bissouma and Trossard. I think with those players under De Zerbi we'd be nailed on top 4. :tantrum:
It'll be gutting to see Ally Mac go. I think he might be my favourite of this current team and one of my all time favourites.
I hope he goes to Barca or Real Madrid and becomes a cornerstone of their team. I don't want to watch him playing for another club in England. It's bad enough with my...
I think we need another 15 or 16 points to qualify for Europe. That's pretty doable as it's just continuing the form we've shown all season.
To win the f.a cup we need to beat:
Man Utd - doable
Man City - not very doable.
So I'd say the league is still the easier route as there is more...
We want Man City to win their f.a cup semi final. That way 7th in the league is guaranteed a European place.
Edit: or rather we'll be guaranteed European football if we finish 7th and Man City win their f.a cup semi final.
Yeah, I'm not really arguing against the idea, I'm more curious as to whether the limited number of teams being promoted has an effect on whether they come back down or not.
I've had a quick google and the best data I could...
Isn't part of the reason why they don't often come straight back down due to the fact that only two go up? So it's the champions and one other very good team. Three up, three down would, I reckon, see an increase in teams going back down. I'm not basing that on any stats/facts that I've seen...
I'd like us to keep it in the media/public eye as much as possible without sounding like a massive bunch of whingers. That way it hopefully keeps the officials under scrutiny so they can't get away with incompetence and/or bias bordering on cheating.
I'm sure behind the scenes Bloom and Barber...
So as I remember it - and I'm currently fuming so my memory might not be 100% - we had five VAR decisions go against us.
1) Handball by Spurs player in Spurs's penalty box. From the one replay I saw it looked like he essentially punched the ball.
2) Mitoma goal disallowed for handball...
****s. Spurs, the ref, var. The lot of them. Absolute ****s.
Genuinely robbed.
If I was a Brighton player I'd be burning down the f***ing dressing room after that.
I'll be gutted if we lose this. Apart from their front three who are admittedly very good Spurs are shit.
It's probably been mentioned earlier but what is RDZ's issue with the Spurs bench? Is it Italy based or something to do from the home match against them?
Also, am I the only one that...
To quote Ted, from Ted and Ralph:
I wouldn't know about that sir...
The fans of other clubs that I know don't seem to have anything in particular against him but they're just the people I know. I haven't looked at other forums or social media.
He did. He was always backing into players and then falling over looking for the free kick.
I think the hate for Kane is purely because of that Lallana penalty. Before that I don't remember anyone saying anything about Kane. Since it he's been public enemy number one(well, 2. Zaha is...
The only difference being Murray wasn't as successful at it!
It's bizarre how no one seems to remember/have noticed that Murray did it all the time. I say bizarre, I mean blinkered/selective memory.
A win today would be huge for two reasons IMO:
1) I think we need five more wins and maybe a draw or two to finish in the top 7 and thus Europe so a win here would be a big step towards that.
2) Spurs might have eyes on the Champions league and we might wistfully dream of it but realistically...
If there is a 'Brighton's worst fear' thred on the Palace board this would be mine.
There's so much talent coming out of South London which you appear to have regularly missed. If you get your act together and starting getting them you'll have a fantastic supply line of players.:tantrum:
I'd be amazed if he went anywhere before the summer.
Come summer he should have a number of options. West Ham and Southampton seem the most obvious to me.
I don't see Palace as being too viable. They're not a united club off the field, they're not patient on or off the pitch and the fans...
The champions league would be outrageous if we made it. I don't buy that we'd get a whooping each game. As someone just above me said we play four decent champions league teams each season and we're currently the match of them. Maybe our lack of experience would stop us qualifying for the...
I dare say they'd time waste too if they ever actually had a lead to protect. :lolol:
I've also tried to bite my tongue with all the sanctimony around other teams time wasting. Admittedly one or two teams take it way too far(Villa:bigwave:) but we, along with every team in world football, do...
