Main Coronavirus / Covid-19 Discussion Thread

Unfortunately the minority that stick two fingers up will continue. There's only one way out of this and I fear it's going to have a nasty stating in the tail. And all those responsible will still be in total denial. Sigh

    [Other Sport] Peter Allis RIP

I had the pleasure of spending a long (golfing) weekend with him in Portugal, some 20 years ago. Boy, he knew how to put his drink away and absolutely detested Sky, so we had plenty in common! Lovely bloke, the world could do with more like him ... RIP

£240 a year for Sky/BT Sports? BTW those Kodi days have well passed

[Travel] Easyjet to charge for hand luggage now.

Couldn't agree more, like many things in life (Covid reg's included) there's a huge segment of society that don't give a stuff and ignore any kind of rule/request that is asked of them. Having suffered too many times with these inconsiderate ******* I've got no issue whatsoever with the EJ stance

Main Coronavirus / Covid-19 Discussion Thread

All the time a significant proportion of the population stick their fingers up there's little if any point fiddling around with the rules. Whilst I have no time at all for our government (or their offshoots) they really are between a rock and a hard place where managing this pandemic is...

    [Football] Adam Lallana ****Singed****

Sentimentality? I suspect he didn't go off with a new injury ... he had that 'bollox' look about him as he went off

    [Football] Adam Lallana ****Singed****

Nothing on my stream to suggest what the problem was .... was it mentioned in Potter's post match interview? Will be a bummer for him if he misses Stains too

[Albion] A maximum of 4,000 fans to be allowed at outdoor sports events

Yes, that's how I saw it. Not questioning, more validating. Approach is fine

[Albion] A maximum of 4,000 fans to be allowed at outdoor sports events

So it looks like I can get allocated a ticket but don't have to actually take it up? No mention of only being able to do that for 6 games so if I have that correct I am not obligated to go if I'm uncomfortable doing so. If I've got that right it's good news, but then I'd have thought the club...

    [Food] Calling NSC masterchefs

Yes ... I could grizzle about what happened but it's done. Defo in those early rounds they're looking for entertainment as much, if not more, than skills. Absolutely not the case in later rounds though. She enjoyed it though and no regrets

[Albion] A maximum of 4,000 fans to be allowed at outdoor sports events

I still don't understand why they don't let people opt out completely (unless on some .gov list of vulnerable). It's not as if they aren't going to get 2000/4000 wanting to go. Just seems totally daft and adding unnecessary process of STH exchange ... or empty seats

[News] Christmas COVID rules fresh from the horses' mouths

Problem is it's always someone else's problem. There's a large minority that don't give a rats arse about any of the above. Post Xmas is going to be very nasty I suspect
