Couldn't remember I read it, so Googled it and top answer was a thread titled 'Brighton Interviewed McKenna on Wednesday' on the Ipswich Town Fans Forum 😂 and linking to The Times article where it was reported. Maybe you need to be over there telling them, not me.
Plus, in reply to that thread...
I posted this elsewhere, but it seems a big part of Ipswich' success was 'being clinical' / seriously over performing xg. I'm not sure that would translate based on the second half of our season!! (Explains why Chelsea interested in Leicester manager).
Saw this, and it gives a bit of an overview of the top stats from this year's Championship.
Might explain why we are linked with Martin - highest possession and second highest xg (although Southampton aren't clinical and concede a lot of goals.... Bit like us!)
Interestingly, Ipswich who...
Yes!! Along with media reports that we have actually spoken to him/interviewed him, you'd also assume that with Barber knowing him, there might have been an informal chat before RDZ left. Plus right after the news came out that RDZ was leaving, Alex Crook (a reliable source for Brighton news)...
In what way? He never seemed (to me) to be an RDZ favourite 🤔
Sure RDZ played Milner at RB at the start of the season. And Veltman didn't even put a goodbye up on his Instagram like some others - not that that means anything, but I just wouldn't have imagined him to be the one kicking up a fuss.
He had two years left on his contract - there was no need to sign a new one. At the time of it being offered, Barber's unofficial mouthpiece Alex Crook, said it would include a significant release clause - that would have made it harder for him to leave when the time came.
