I dont think anyone I know, doubts Covid 19 is real and does kill, but its not the only killer. And we have to learn to live with it.

The leading cause of death in September was dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, accounting for 11.2% of deaths in...
Even in the dark days of March and April the hospitals were only about 65% full so they say. Most hospitals were not full in fact far from it.
( My Mum has been in and out of 3 south east London hospitals and is now in her 4th, Sidcup and honestly these have not been full at any time)
My gripe is more about blood tests being cancelled for everyone for 4 weeks because of covid testing. As a simple thing like a blood test can spot things that you didnt know you had...as I found out.
Looking at my area this morning, we have no covid cases...I could only call my GP because I am late with my bi-annual blood test I have for a slight blood disorder that if not checked could turn not nice. No blood tests available for 4 weeks because of Covid I was just told, so thats 2 months...
I am not saying anything, this is on the BBC news page. Lock down certainly does stop loads of people going to hospital, a lot of older folk are scared out of their minds at the moment and just dont go out let alone to a hospital.
Exactly, you can suppress it for a week or two but as sure as eggs is eggs it will come back until either there is herd immunity or there is a vaccine or it burns its self out...its a virus like 1000s of others we as humans have had over millennia, quite why we have taken a different strategy...
As a Palace all I can do is apologise, we actually stole a point off you. I am actually shocked at how little ambition the players showed. Shocking absolutely shocking.
Going to join the bin fest of the BBS now.
This time of year there is a big uptick of respiratory illnesses, so I suppose what we need to be sure of is that they are Covid related and is it the over 70s ? This is known as the Germ term in schools and hospitals and also is this the same numbers as most years.
We seem to have forgotten...
You say that but look at the scores of the games that have been played, they are on par with the 5 a side league I played at Crawley leisure center. You cant tell me that Liverpool and Man unt losing by 6 or 7 is normal ?
Its starting to TBH, it didnt at first, but now I do actully get pretty excited when they score.
Its not Palace that lets it down ( for me ) its the whole of Pro football, teams with life long fans like us being thrown out of the league for owing less money than premier footballers earn in a...
Ive been watching East Grinstead for about 4 years now, there are about 4 of us who starting going when Premier games are moved around to suit TV.
Being an old duffer I quite like watching football at 3.00 on a Saturday afternoon or Tuesday night at 07.30.
But last season and this we have been...
Again I do not know? I cant muster the interest even to look at football news at the moment. Its not that I dont care about my team its just football at the moment, playing games in empty stadiums with half hearted players and laws (VAR) That I dont understand.
I just cant get into it...Maybe...
Well as a Palace fan, I didnt know we were playing each other this Saturday until last week...which says a lot to what my feelings are of this sham season of televised kick about's.
I cant help with the Covid shit, but I binned off my season ticket (20+ years a ST holder and saw my first game in 1972) and started following my local Ishmian league side. Bought a season ticket for £150 and so far this season have watched every game home and away, and a I have found my mojo...
Yes thats what I keep thinking...yesterdays headline 1000 uni students positive with Covid, well yes, but how many are actully ill or new they had it or go to hospital.
17,000 a day , well again yes but how many are ill and how many go to hospital, its scaring the older folk to death with fear.
Not my figures BTW.
But some countries have high infection rates and low death numbers and some others the opposite...but looking at the figures ( again not mine) survival rate is about 99.75 or something like that.
WHO are now estimating that 760 million have been exposed to the virus globally.
Based on the 1 million odd reported to have died globally from Covid 19 (admittingly this is likely to be undercounted) this would give a fatality rate in the region of 0.13%.
