Are they home developed ? Alzate was from Swindon town, Connolly from Luton, white is from Southampton. All good young players but not home developed, picked up young and nurtured I grant you.

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

No I cant, but I cant believe Palace with Mitchell, woods, Zaha, Clyne,Perrick and a couple of others that have gone out on loan last week and Brighton with the players mentioned are the only two clubs that can name 3 or 4 players from the academy in the match day squad.. ( Idont take that much...

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

Not being funny but most if not all clubs can point to 3 or 4 academy players in their 25 and also point to 3 or 4 in the pipeline its not solely a Brighton thing. Anyway what ever division we play in does not stop me supporting, christ I have seen them in 3 different tiers and I cant say I...

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

Not really sure what you mean, Palace have always had a great academy, its just when a couple of years ago they were categorized Palace missed out because of the infrastructure, they are now getting that side ready. In the last few years we have produced a few from Cat 2...Wan-Bissaka and...

Yes I have noticed that, Just wondering if they are now starting to see the long term damage to health this lockdown is causing, and mainly to people under 55 who in the most cases would not be effected by Covid.

I really have no thoughts on who the next manager will be, but I have always thought Cahill would make a good manager ?? Yes that's the frustrating thing about Roy, if you look at both the goal against Wolves and the first against Newcastle, they were both lovely bits of football. But then in...

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

I must admit I feel better they are investing in the academy and the training complex rather than build a new stand with all the money...Plant the acorn and the tree will appear. And even if we do go down the academy should start bearing its own shoots. One of things I haven't enjoyed ( Mind...

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

Well done for a couple of victories, and well deserved they were to. ( betting Liverpool 3.1 away on Gerrard's last swansong was a great feeling as was the 3 goals in the last 10 minutes to ruin any title chances), its sweet beating the darlings of the media. But better late than never Palace...

[Albion] Are we still worrying about WBA, Sheff Utd and Fulham's results?

Yes there might be some u23 squads out for 5 or 6 mid table teams in a few weeks if managers have their way, although chairman might think differently at 1.2 mill per place.

[Albion] Are we still worrying about WBA, Sheff Utd and Fulham's results?

^^ That hurts my eyes. Its the bottom 3, I think this seasons last 5/6 games are going to be kick arounds with the Title being sewn up and relegation sorted...a bit of a damp squib season.

Around one in 10 major hospital trusts in England had no spare adult critical care beds last week, NHS England figures show. A total of 15 out of 140 acute trusts reported 100% occupancy of all "open" beds each day from 25-31 January. These included University Hospitals Birmingham NHS...

Main Coronavirus / Covid-19 Discussion Thread

Well last summer it took about 2 days before our local was just as normal despite all the signage, so I would think if the virus is at the same level as last July / August it will be ignored. I am not saying that is a good or bad thing BTW.

[Football] Zaha watch - *** The SEGW finally managed to escape***

I would have thought out of the 50 odd clubs that have been in administration Leicester are really the only club that really did cheat and a couple of years later won the title... but anyway at the time selling Zaha wasn’t even thought about as he had only a hand full of appearances asa 18 year old.

[Football] Zaha watch - *** The SEGW finally managed to escape***

CPFC have been placed in receivership twice, which as you know is vastly different to insolvency, once in 1999 when Goldberg ran out of pretend money and in 2009 when some dodgy loan company called in 4.5 million owed by Simon jordon in 2009 at that time Zaha was 15. But as you rightly...

[Football] Zaha watch - *** The SEGW finally managed to escape***

Mainly because that was 2009/10 and Zaha would have been 15 at that time
