What a way to start off my time as a season ticket holder.
Lovely warm day, two stands with plenty of back and forth chanting between the two, and my first experience of the Withdean Rumble.
Marvellous Scenes!
Definitely more enjoyable to watch than last season, and gratifying to have a manager who has the ability to change tactics when the ones he started with aren't working. It seems that have a plan B (and C and D) is a useful option after all.
That sounds very similar to my own plan, alternating weeks of 20 then 15milers at about 7:56 pace - which I failed miserably at this week :lolol: The run itself was fine - just the pace was an issue.
I'm going to persist irrespective of what the eventual plans for Brighton Marathon are, as I...
I've been feeling a bit like that myself on the longer runs!
On the plus side, my dodgy ankle seems to be re-gaining some of the strength it lost so is much less sore after long runs - particularly if I manage it with RICE and ibuprofen on completion of the run.
A lot of HMS Malaya's deck had been armour plated by the time my Grandad served on it - that is the reason it sits lower in the water in pictures of it in the second world war when compared to those from the first. I'm sure parts of it were still wooden though...
The email was rather cryptic, so I'm going to continue training until they clarify mid-August. My guess is I'll be rolling my place over to next year though.
🙁
We get that, it wasn't that long ago we experienced the same thing when we got promoted. It is just the fact that the Premier League has a habit of crashing into reality. We've just completed our third season in it, and it's probably the first one that hasn't been a mind-numbing slog!
I wonder how much they'll have to spend on Elland Road to bring it up to Premier League standard? Even then I suspect it'll still be a fairly uncomfortable visit, as I recall from my only previous visit there that the seats were just bolted directly to every other step of the former terraces...
Very nice, I've got a kit to build of the Queen Elizabeth class battleship my Grandad served on during the war. If it turns out half as nice as yours I'll be very happy.
