I officially finished the 92 in the early 80's at Torquay. Since then everything has changed, but Futbology has re focused me and I am currently 7 away from the current 92 which I hope to do in the next couple of years. Another 8 to finish the National League. I have seen Albion on 138 (League...
It's very depressing, and it's happening to all outside the top eight, with Palace getting the attention this season. I think our trophy was a top-six finish and the Europa League, far better than the League Cup.
What a brilliant move for him. To play for the club you supported as a kid is a fine reward for his service to the Albion. BVB are a legendary club with astonishing support. As a Schalke fan of many years, I wish him, of course, all the best. See you the season after next, maybe. Hmm...
A friend of mine had a good few beers with a chap he met in a bar in NYC one night. Rodger and my mate got on well and when asked what he was doing in the City, replied 'My daughter Kate works here' He took Rodger's business card and thought no more about it until the next morning when he found...
Schalke were weeks from the same situation (if not worse). Fortunately, a late recovery saved relegation to the third tier and likely oblivion as there were major questions about their financial licence.
I got stuck at Dieppe during the Euros (2016) going to a game. Fortunately, a psychotic local commuter launched a one-woman protest in the station manager's office. After much gallic screaming, the manager surrendered and we all got taxi dockets to Rouen.
I feel I should post about Ramen bar etiquette. You enter and you will usually find a vending machine with pictures of today's offerings. Pay and collect ticket, and then take your seat. Eat, enjoy and depart promptly. They don't do lounging around, particularly if there is a queue outside...
See below, wander into any bar with a 22 shirt and you won't be alone for long. Also any salary man bar, they love to practice their English whilst pissed.
if you fancy meeting the locals wander into any bar with an Albion 22 Mitoma shirt and prepare to be mobbed. We ended up autographing the walls of the bar we visited. (Sapporo)
It's a shocking service these days. Thankfully there are now overnight National Express coaches to Worthing from Gatwick, so I am pretty much covered providing I can get to Gatwick. In the old BR days you could get a taxi docket to get you home. Since privatisation that has gone to the wall.
Problem is for the actual supporters attending. After Schalke won the cup in Berlin I only managed to get back to my accommodation at 00.30 (20.00 kick off) which sort of takes away part of the pleasure of winning a trophy.

Lisa was at Bury FC yesterday and is on the case.
