[Albion] Olympique de Marseille vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

In honour of tonight's opponents: Merci pour votre explanation 👍 These 5:45 kick offs pose me a thorny problem. I was planning on getting up and watching a full match replay as live, but now I might have to stay up and watch it actually live. What to do, what to do.

[Football] World Cup 2030 - Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Spain, Morocco AND Portugal

No, I very much doubt they could. Partly because FIFA demand so much and make it cost so much. It's a shame that they couldn't team up with a neighbouring country. I think a north african world cup would be something really special.

[Football] World Cup 2030 - Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Spain, Morocco AND Portugal

Why are Argentina and Parguay getting games at home. It's stupid that Uruguay are but at least there's a reason; celebrating 100 years since the world cup which was hosted in Uruguay. But what is the thinking for Argentina and Paraguay? Also it's a real shame that shit two bit(but obviously...

[Albion] The "Out in Marseille and this may help someone" thread

I'm loving this thread, it's surprisingly exciting. It's like one of the transfer epics where flights are tracked, agents followed and players surreptitiously snapped but the fan version. Awesome! Keep the posts/photos coming guys and gals!

[Albion] The "Out in Marseille and this may help someone" thread

I agree with this! There was a disappointing lack of photos/videos before/during/after the aek athens game. I'm hoping we'll get more for this game. Share the excitement/fun traveling NSCers!

    [Albion] Premier League 30/9 - 3/10/23

This was my question earlier in the thread. Did the Palace VAR debacle generate this much noise as to my mind that was as big if not bigger an error as the Liverpool one. I don't live in the u.k so don't have access to all u.k media. However, this has been a talking point wherever I turn so...

    [Albion] Premier League 30/9 - 3/10/23

Ah, got you. I wasn't suggesting there was a Liverpool conspiracy so much as that there was so much noise around this one because Liverpool are such a big club in the same way that if it happened against Man Utd there'd be a huge amount of noise. It's a shame that it takes one of the big boys...

    [Albion] Premier League 30/9 - 3/10/23

The palace one wasn't subjective. It was an offside decision, given incorrectly because the VAR officials didn't notice the palace defender in the middle of the screen. And my question still stands, was there this much noise over that Palace decision? It was equally, if not more, incompetent.

    [Albion] Premier League 30/9 - 3/10/23

Was there this much hooha when VAR f***ed us over against Palace? Or is it just because it's Liverpool?

    [Albion] Premier League 30/9 - 3/10/23

You know how over the last few seasons more and more people have been complaining about time wasting and how they want the ball to be in play for longer? I'm watching the Everton Luton game and goodness me the ball in play for longer is the last thing this game needs. It's an atrocious game...

[Albion] Aston Villa vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

The lack of work rate and intensity in the first half was unacceptable. Regardless of team selection, tactics, should goals have been disallowed or general performance the one thing every player has complete control of is their work rate and intensity. First half ours was far below what it...

I think you could say the same in the games against Luton, West Ham and Bournemouth too. Luton and Bournemouth weren't good enough to take advantage, West Ham were. I'm sure the freshness of that first half slaughter is blurring perspective a bit but right now it's something that worries me.

Plenty could be said about that first half but I'm going to go with we are soft as shit - structurally and physically - when we don't have the ball. It's men against boys. Remember the good old days when we had a midfield? Last season seems so long ago!

What a great moment for mini Hinsh. On the face of it it seems a bold call but I'm excited to see how he does. It's going to be a tough game, it feels like we generally lose to Villa with a regularity that we reserve for beating Wolves and West Ham. We've lost to West Ham this season so maybe...

[Music] Which artist had the best ever single album career?

The Sex Pistols and Jeff Buckley are two great shouts. I'll chuck in the La's. The winner is the sex pistols though, no?

[Albion] Jack Hinshelwood [9/4/24: new deal to 2028]

Whilst I agree with your general point I reckon Hinshelwood is going to get nothing but positive vibes on NSC. He's not just a local lad, he's a local lad that's come through the academy system since he was 7 and is the son of a former Albion player. He has the Albion in his blood. There...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Chelsea *** Official Match Thread ***

I'm disappointed we've lost. I want this club to win a trophy and the league cup is as good as any. I don't understand 'the league is more important' argument. It's only more important if we're going for the title or trying to avoid relegation. We shouldn't be in any danger of either so why...
