Haven't posted in this thread for ages but I was listening to the white stripes debut and it hit me just how f***ing great they were and I just had to share.
There was only two of them, the songs rarely went over three minutes yet they contained everything you could ever want in them.
I hope we take the game pretty seriously. This is, as we're all aware, our golden age. I want some silverware to go with the golden times and this is a trophy where we only need to be successful in five games. We can beat anyone so lets try and beat them and win a trophy.
First half was shockingly bad. Bournemouth had a game plan and we did nothing - nothing - to go against it. We just did the same thing(badly) over and over again. We were very lucky to go in at half time level.
Unlike a lot of others I don't think we were particularly good in the second half...
Better second half. Not great, but better.
I think my take away is two fold. One, we're now a team that clubs make special plans for. Didn't ever expect to see that in the premier league.
Two, we now have standards so high that we can come from behind to win 3-1 and a close second to...
What an utterly turgid 45 minutes of football that was. Comfortably the most boring half since De Zerbi's been manager.
Yes, Bournemouth have a game plan and are executing it well but god almighty we were shit. Did anyone other than Dunk, Webster or Ver Bruggen actually touch the ball? The...
The atmosphere/acoustics at the amex are definitely a bit weird. I watched the game on tv and it sounded no more than ok but the commentators mentioned how good the atmosphere was so it seems that it not only doesn't always travel from one stand to the other but it doesn't get picked up by the...
That's interesting. Bizarre but interesting!
I can't in all honesty say I've ever felt the need to compare Brighton with Bournemouth on any level. Why do they have such a chip on their shoulder?
It highlights the importance of Caicedo and Bissouma before him. Both had/have an uncanny ability to win balls from behind or from strange angles off the opposing player. They did it time and again. We don't have anyone who can do that now so when we get caught the wrong side of the player we...
Disappointing result.
De Zerbi will be fuming but from our point of view...we've just played our first ever game of European football. In a few weeks we'll play our second, this time away to Marseille. Drink it in and enjoy it, leave the negative/critical stuff to De Zerbi, he'll sort it out.
Enjoy it you lucky, lucky bastards!
Any photos/videos of what's going on around town/the stadium/the game will be greedily and gratefully received by those of us who can't be there.
There has been a lot written and filmed about us recently but that might just be the best article I've ever read about us. Beautiful and poignant and should be read by every Brighton fan.
It is our story and wonderfully evokes just what sits at the heart and soul of our club. No matter how...
That's bloody awesome!
I love the family connection with football and this is a moment that will stay with her forever. It's something that you'll both have for as long as you live and that's an incredible thing. What a lucky girl!
