When I first saw it, it was 100% white and gold. I then checked the same picture a couple of hours later and there was no way it was anything but blue and black. I was convinced I was looking at a different picture, but apparently not. Now it's white and gold again. Does anyone have any idea...
I was right about Best to be fair.
Also, I don't see anything wrong with having an initial opinion on a starting line up before the game is played. When the 11 is released, it's obviously going to be a topic of discussion in the match thread.
Stockdale 8.5 - Penalty save changed the game, almost certainly would've lost if it wasn't for him.
Bruno 3 - Very, very dodgy. We need a new right back.
Greer 5
Dunk 6
Bennett 7
Ince 7
Kayal 8 - Already looking like a really good signing.
Tex 8.5 - Has come on so much under Hughton. Looks a...
What on earth has Best done to deserve a start over COG? He has been utterly shit every game he's played and he's replaced O'Grady in the form of his life. Calderon RM again too ahead of KLL and Ledesma... FFSHughton.
Of course we aren't going to spend all of it, but we should've at least made one, big marquee signing to replace our best striker in years. I rate Baldock but Callum Wilson was £3m, surely we could've got him ahead of Bournemouth at the time?
I don't see how people can disagree with BG here. We sold over £10m worth of players just in the summer and didn't even come close to spending half of that. How can we expect to succeed if we sell our best players and replace with players costing a fraction of the price? At best it's a very...
Didn't Conway get the most assists in the whole league last season? He was definitely up there. Calling him 'a solid championship player' seems a bit harsh.
In what way is Best our best striker on paper? He has failed literally everywhere he has gone apart from Newcastle, and he didn't exactly light up the world there either. He didn't manage to score a single goal in 16 games for Derby and he has done nothing to suggest that he will be anything...
The lack of strengthening during the transfer window was nothing short of disgraceful, and we will regret it. How can Bloom say we're ahead of the game and then proceed to sign one centre mid, extend a loan deal for a back up player we already had, and get one of the worst strikers in the league...
Yes, our squad is poor, but it becomes worse when Hughton decides to play full backs in midfield, strikers on the wing and Leon bloody Best up front. I don't understand why we have never even tried letting Baldock form a partnership up front with COG, it seems so obvious.
Terrible. Why are we so negative? Not impressed by Hughton at the moment. We never even look like scoring from open play, and then he drops our best set piece taker (Holla) from the squad. Very, very odd.
I'm sure you're right and I don't blame him, but I'm sure I read that we had the option to extend and opted not to. Either way, the fact we replaced him with someone as ridiculously bad as Leon Best is a joke.
