Wow. Are you joking? He didn't have his best game today but was still streets ahead of Greer, as usual. Him and Ince have been our best two players this season by far.
No. Loaning out Colunga, the player who has been directly involved in more goals than anyone else for us this season, and not replacing him is ridiculous. It's so obvious we need a winger. Saying our squad is simply 'good enough to stay up' is very complacent imo when we're 21st and just lost to...
FFS. Very disappointed, we needed another winger at least. Are we really gonna rely on Calderon at right mid for the rest of the season? Either that or yet another loan deal. [emoji53]
I agree that our lack of signings has been disappointing, which is why I don't understand people moaning when we might make one! I don't think this is a sign of lowering our sights at all, rather the opposite. I do hope we make at least one first team signing before the end of the day too though.
People moaning about this are a joke, it's not exactly a big risk and Blackpool fans seem genuinely gutted about the possibility of him leaving. What's the issue with signing highly rated youngsters for our development squad? It's exactly what we should be doing.
It's almost a shame we picked up some form during January, tricking the club into thinking we're alright. We desperately needed to strengthen and haven't - not enough anyway.
Forshaw signed for £5m in the summer, they only got £2m for him 6 months later. They released Ivan Ramis today too, I'd love to know what's going on up there.
I would FAR rather have Kayal than Chalobah on loan. Chalobah may be better in the future but certainly not now. Just because you're ignorant about Kayal doesn't mean anyone else is, Man United and Liverpool wanted him a couple of years ago ffs, what makes you think people won't have heard of him?
Wigan appear to be selling every one of their players who is even remotely decent. Watson, Maloney, Forshaw and McManaman have all left just in the last two days.
Lingard is very overrated. Don't think anyone would rate him if he didn't come from Man United. Didn't rate Teixeira either under Hyypia but based on the Ipswich game maybe we'll see the best of him under Hughton, he definitely has a lot more talent than Lingard.
