Please no more loan players they are part of the reason we are in the position we are . We need people who are signed up for the club and care about it .We ve had so many in and out over the last three years . We deserve better than journeymen looking for a practice match - and we never buy them anyway . So the whole process is completely pointless - did I say pointless ? haha not far off it

So true... our transfer 'strategy' is a complete and utter ****ing shambles...

For balance, I sincerely hope it is not. Rubbish player, staggeringly well thought of for no reason. We need someone more consistent than him.

Are you insane? A better crosser of the ball than ANYONE we have had for many a season! EXACTLY the winger we need (but won't get - we missed our chance).

That's the performance that people remember, but there were how many that people have conveniently forgotten. He's a solid Championship player, so he'd do as a short term fix but is that really what we want? I would rather we go with what we have, and get the players who are here to get their heads down and sort this season out. It will only take two or three wins in a short period of time to climb away from trouble, we just need to take the chances which come along and pull away.

Oh dear. Stupid and complacent.

We should have done more PERMANENT business in Jan. We didn't. Now we are scraping the bottom of the barrel again, and edging the 5 loan limit. Our recruitment was p1ss-poor for the THIRD window running. We definitely needed to invest in a winger or two. We knew Kaz was unlikely to play every game. We knew March has had injury problems. So what do we do? We do ****-all, and then issue another PR BS statement at the end of the window saying we won't be rushed / we have players coming back from injury. The moronic masses swallow the BS.

We should have been prepared for the Jan window (as TB claimed) and, for once, we should have delivered - we had a month, and more time before the window, to get our bids ready. In the situation we were (and are) in, the complacency shown by our club is nothing short of astounding. Oh, and WTF are we waiting for now exactly? We need players now, not at the end of the loan window. Our 'considered' approach to recruitment has worked so well, we're going to continue to make the same mistakes over and over. Laughable.

Other than the above, I'm very pleased.

Didn't Conway get the most assists in the whole league last season? He was definitely up there. Calling him 'a solid championship player' seems a bit harsh.

Oh come on. Now you're quoting facts. NE and TB surely know best.

after watching this debacle over the last few years I have come to the conclusion that we will always go for the cheapest option, the only player that does not come under this option is Baldock who has continuously been played out of position.
I know people do not like it but Gus was right we had reached the ceiling, we have missed out on so many good players and let some go that should have still been here, Cook,Barnes,Elphick God the list is endless and filled their places with chancers, low waged, injury wridden players who cannot cut the mustard (which I might say is not all their fault) and even with the manager (Sami) nice bloke and all that but the cheap option again.
CH might be the manager who can stop the rot but not with the penny pinching attitude we have at the moment.
never mind we might just escape the drop .............I hope so
onwards and upwards .................and maybe give the youth a chance

Have to agree with all of that Glasfryn.

Right now, I see us outbid for better players by 'smaller' clubs with more ambition (Bournemouth, Brentford), whilst our board peddle PR BS like 'PLR' and 'One Ambition'. It's nonsense, and not backed-up by meaningful action. The best stadium and training facilities outside the Prem are pretty meaningless if the on-pitch investment is too restricted.

I remember your opinion on this. It was ridiculous at the time and, having seen the dross wing play since, even more bewildering now.

Maybe TB has run out of money so we have to cut our cloth accordingly?

Naylor retweeted something about Pennant not turning up at Millwall. Reckon he's fishing for some idiot BHA fan to post it on social media.....never going to happen.

So would I. Eagles would be playing for a contract, for one thing, which is much better motivation and we've already had too many loans this season. It nearly cost us in 2008/09 when we had so many mercenaries I almost guarantee most on here couldn't name the 5 debutants at Leyton Orient that day. I'm not certain that I can name them, come to think of it!

Eagles plays for nothing/nobody but himself. He does not need or desire any motivation, he's rich, he's uninterested in working hard to be a good player, he's exactly the sort of player we do not need. IMO.

Having said that, I'm sure Kemy would like to have a millionaire playmate to do **** all with every day.
