    [Albion] Wolves Away

The Great Western pub on Corn Hill is tremendous, especially if you like your real ales.

Will be seeing them at Truck Festival this weekend. Looking forward to it.

[Football] Would you like to see Palace relegated?

Yes, but then I could find a reason why I would be happy with any of the other 19 teams to be relegated. They all have their annoyances to some degree.

[Cricket] The Ashes- England v Australia- 2nd Test, Lords, June 28 - July 02, 2023

Thanks for the tip, I turned over. Sadly the Dutch are now 8 down so I will be back to the Ashes soon.

    [Albion] Leeds United - away

For those that have been before, do away fans generally walk from the town centre to Elland Road or mix it with Leeds on the shuttle service?

    [News] Clarkson Cancelled

Conversely I find him very watchable, and readable, too. Horses for courses.

I saw them at the IOW festival last year which sadly turned out to be Paul Ryder's last gig. I thought they were great fun, still plenty of energy and Rowetta does a fine job helping Sean hold the vocals together.

[Cricket] Pakistan vs NZ First Test

I was watching it was tense and gripping! The umpires made it clear if NZ bowled pace they would go off for light so it was spin only for the last 30 mins. They hadn't been taken off for light any way through so there was no base reading to match from earlier days. Definitely could have finished...

[Cricket] Pakistan vs NZ First Test

Inevitable, yes, but it's peak cricket to battle for 5 full days then call the match off with just three overs left to play, under lights. NZ one wicket from victory, Pakistan just 15 runs short of victory. Surely they could have played it out?

[Cricket] T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia

A shame the rain spoiled a game that was going down to the wire. Moen was looking dangerous.

[Cricket] T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia

Fantastic to see the Aussies get whopped in the opening game of their own World Cup. Early days though, I remember England hammered them in the last world cup and that didn't end well.

[Cricket] West Indies v England Test Series

If you just accept we are a poor side at the moment it's easier to process these type of performances. We are bottom on the test championship for a reason - our players aren't good enough right now.

[Albion] Joel Veltman signs from Ajax in a 3-year deal

Thought he could have done better with their goal, the ball sailing over his head from the corner.

The race director is allowed to control the use of the safety car however he sees fit, so no rules were broken, it appears. The "let them race" ethic encouraged him to engineer a last lap spectacular which just happened to benefit Max.

I agree that they will uphold the result and reject the appeal, so based on that Michael Masi has no need to resign because he did nothing wrong.
