Sorry I meant to mention it when I saw you last week. It was lots of fun as ever. Must have been at least seventy teams.
I believe there is another planned for September if @knocky1 can be persuaded to do a Hodgson.
Just can’t stand the ‘look at me parking on the double yellow lines outside’ vibe. My irrational dislike has become rational now.
I go for Baked on Church Road. Also Oeuf on 3rd Avenue - all a bit annoyingly Hove but can’t deny it’s good coffee and breakfast.
Port Kitchen also recommended.
My mother-in-law lives near Skipton so I've done quite a few of the parkruns around Leeds and Bradford. Chevin is great but the best has to be Fountains Abbey -
The Succession shaped hole is a common problem for many I fear. I’m considering Righteous Gemstones to fill it - or possibly White Lotus or just rewatch The Wire or even just rewatch Succession.
Well done @Greg Bobkin - it was quite warm today and first real dose of hay fever. Pretty pleased with 2:06 having been struggling with an injury and hence lack of training. Was surprised to see it was only a minute slower than the last time I’d done it a few years back.
@jimhigham i think I did...
Yes - went to PP for their tenth anniversary. Jogged round in just under 30 mins due to troublesome calf/ankle.
Saw my sports therapist afterwards - suspected inflamed tendon relating to ankle instability which makes sense. Feeling better after some manipulation and got some exercises to bring...
Agree - went there last week and thought it was very good.
Was trying to find this thread to mention it!
Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think they do any veggie options, which seems very odd.
Could well have been - there were four or five went by in BHA shirts.
We had lots of fun on the water station including one other season ticket holder who I forgot to ask if they are on this thread?
I’d suggest come into Brighton on Dyke Road. Park at top of The Droveway (I think it’s still free there). Walk down The Drove to Preston Park.
Bit of a hike back up the hill back to the car (but you’re not the one running) but then easy drive down to Portland Road (metered parking). Walk down...
Good luck to all runners tomorrow.
Look out for me, @knocky1 and @Ninja Elephant at the 16.7 mile water station by the band stand and we’ll give you an extra cheer!
@Greg Bobkin - see you at Three Forts!
I know some people who have received theirs last week but at least one other who has not yet. I met with someone from the organisers today - his advice was to contact them if you have not received it by the end of today.
