Sadly you may well be right that most working class people read the Sun, but I if you remove the class aspect it just boils down to.... most thick people read The Sun.
Give the man a break; he can't help where he was born but he has lived in Brighton for over 30 years and has been an Albion regular for at least 15. We all make mistakes when we are young...
Nah...I didn't find it clever or funny. I'm pretty much in the centre, but I suppose if you have facistic tendancies then it probably panders to your prejudices...
The French police were very effective during Euro 2016 in discouraging/preventing any terrorist attacks - their number 1 priority. But I presume you mean their failure to stop 150 Russians from intruding on the usual obnoxious posturing of England fans in city squares. I expect they could have...
When Southern Rail were having of one their regular meltdowns last week I got a train as far as East Croydon but then was stuck with thousands of other commuters. So I decided to have a wander until the chaos calmed down. Here is my report from the Croydon front line:
Pubs; only saw one...
Hmmm...I wonder if your perception of the Irish is shared by the rest of Europe after 30,000 of them had a lovely time in Paris over the last 2 days with the Swedes, Croatians, and French locals without a hint of tear gas. But maybe your comment says it all...
I don't get that... my family and I are Irish and we wish England no ill will, after all we support the English league teams week in week out. I generally find that the Scots and Welsh are less well disposed towards England.
The biggest factor for not selling that game out (apart from being 2 nil down) was the promised rail chaos that Southern were advertising the in days before. I know people who normally bring their kids who didn't take the risk.
Yeah that's fair enough BOTN; I'm happy having a conversation with opposition fans on a forum or in the pub like last night. A Wednesday fan shook my hand and wished us the best for next season and said the atmosphere at the AMEX was brilliant.
Fair play to Wednesday, you did what you had to do and no bitterness from me or any of my mates, so good luck at Wembley. Were you at The AMEX? If so I would be interested to know what you thought of the atmosphere last night. If you have looked at NSC recently you will have seen that we are...
Well Captain Yala you would find 28,000 Brighton fans who would disagree about "no thuggish behaviour this season" with the stamp on Kayal at the AMEX a few weeks ago as prime evidence. He was very effective for you in that game in as much as he wound-up every Albion player and put them off...
The vast majority of Albion fans and the vast majority of Palace fans can just have a rivalry based on casual mickey taking and that is fine. People who cross the boundary into actual abuse and violence are clearly immature or have emotional problems, particularly if they pick on the vulnerable.
Yes and sometimes I was at The Goldstone when the atmosphere was completely flat. What is your point? Everyone knows that in the days of standing terraces it was easier for the singers to congregate, but we are talking about 2016 in a seated stadium.
