I worry sometimes that we are a bit too flippin' nice, but you are right I would go to more away games if I didn't feel like I was going to be killed and eaten by the locals...
Yes you are confused, you seem to have 2 bees in your bonnet; on one thread you are being aggressive about someone praising those who stayed the full 90 and sang the team off, and on this thread you are questionning those who point out that Boro's good turn out is due to a lot of their fans...
Go on have a cry. No one's decided that Boro don't come from Boro; it is a discussion about how would it be possible for 1,800 to make it from Teeside by 12:30.
Yeah it sounded to me that you were being unnecessarily aggressive. And it is a shame that so many people bugger off before the end; those who stayed and actually started singing did a good job as the players clearly appreciated it.
Fair play to you mate; I obviously want Albion to finally get a home win against the Boro tomorrow but as the two Teesiders I know in Brighton are decent blokes I would be very happy with The Smoggies going up with us.
Agree entirely about the London bounce...I work with all sorts of northerners in London and they go to the London/south games and boast about their amazing away following. In fact for the Boro match I know two of them who live in Brighton and another two coming the whole 50 miles from south London.
I've got nothing against Charlton and most of their fans seem pretty regular people, but it annoyed me today when a) they were abusing the SW corner (mainly children) after they scored b) not throwing the ball back every time it went in their end c) singing stuff to abuse us instead of...
Decent club Charlton and decent fans, I will applaud any protest they care to bring to the Amex, offer any support I can, and wish them the best o' luck...
I can't understand why there weren't far more crush and stampede deaths when fighting broke out in these dilapidated old death-trap dumps we paid money to get into.
I agree that the match by match prices are way too steep and the empty seats would fill-up for £25 a pop. But with the £10m losses announced for last season we obviously can't even cover our costs with the prices we currently charge. The only hope is promotion and increased TV and commercial...
What aren't you counting? Some of the Palace who come on here are quite funny and can give and take without wetting themselves but unfortunately you are not one of them.
