Lets keep it clean please - this is a respectable forum.Orban continues to be Putin’s cuckoo in the nest, we need to start coming down hard on this prick
It maybe highly likely that the ship dragged its anchor and damaged the cable but that's not enough to convict in a criminal court; you cannot convict on "probably".The captain and crew must be tried and jailed... what other deterrent is there?
Interesting (I'm clearly lacking legal knowledgeIt maybe highly likely that the ship dragged its anchor and damaged the cable but that's not enough to convict in a criminal court; you cannot convict on "probably".
A civil court however.....
Video evidence might do it. Maybe forensic evidence (bits of cable stuck to the anchor or vice versa) if they can get it.Interesting (I'm clearly lacking legal knowledge).
What would need to be done for a criminal conviction, do you think? Video evidence, for example, of a ship dropping and dragging its anchor?
Putin has bombed a military plant in Spain:
We're at war with Russia. When are we going to start acting like it?
Clear. Concise. Correct.
There are a lot of videos on this channel, and they're usually all the same, but this one's a bit different. Towards the end it covers the practice of the Russian commanders hand-cuffing their own soldiers before sending them to battle, to make sure they don't run away. You can imagine what would happen if their vehicle is hit with a drone.
I echo your thanks to the Baltic States. I suspect the suffering they have endured is not widely known on here. It's a brilliant interview.
Thank goodness for the strong and consistent messaging from the Baltic States.
Excellent that Estonia has blocked Russian TV channel transmissions (keep out the effing propaganda) and replaced them with Estonian Russian speaking channels (IIUC).
I had no idea that, after their independence, there was resistance at first.to their joining NATO.

The strength of this thread, now 1000 pages long, is that we get a huge variety of input from a huge variety of sources.Interesting and detailed analysis of a part of the front line.
Not forgetting your eccentric Aunt Elvira, plus the occasional very good humourThe strength of this thread, now 1000 pages long, is that we get a huge variety of input from a huge variety of sources.
Political interviews, geopolitical analyses, drone geek stuff, bavovnas, front line combat, and a few friendly Russian interlopers. And if that's not enough, we also have that crazy long haired economist. Something for everyone.
Yes, Aunt Elvira needs a category of her own. I first noticed the background to her video - what I assumed was her living room, with an atmospheric, mystical scene of trees and ethnic cleansing. I was quite taken by it.Not forgetting your eccentric Aunt Elvira, plus the occasional very good humour.
