Outstanding result. I will confess at half time in the Ipswich game I didn’t see six points coming so every credit to the manager. The squad depth is now frightening and with one game a week for next few weeks we can hopefully keep everyone fresh.
I confess to expecting no points from these two games pre Ipswich.

Jeez, you're having a very bad weekend, aren't you? Is it because Potter got schooled by Palace? It was deliberate and worthy of a yellow. I've also seen reds given for less contact.
It's also clear that you're picking an argument with me, in particular, because I called out your insulting nonsense on the Potter West Ham thread last night.
I'm not picking arguments with you. I wrote a comment to another poster where I said it wasn't deliberate. You then commented on it. So your theory is off.

I quote
"But like I said, you do this every week, claim that we should have had multiple penalties and that the opponents should get a bunch of red cards etc. Its not worth discussing the situation further with you."

You are picking an argument with me because you made a fool of yourself last night.

What about Solly for putting a hand up to Garnacho's neck? Are they not moaning about that? (all over by then though)

No disrespect, but imagine getting bullied by Solly March of all people. Veltman or JPvH is one thing, proper hard nuts, but Solly isn’t exactly Vinnie Jones.

Just got back. Traffic was SHITE. Glad I live in the Midlands. Sussex is still a way off. Best away of the season for me (missed Bournemouth and Newcastle), it never gets boring turning those wankers over in thier own backyard.

1. Looks like Enciso is off then. That was a goodbye wave at the end, guessing on loan. He certainly wasn't waving at someone he knew.

2. Minteh was outstanding today. I love the defensively minded version that showed up today and he obviously produced at the other end as well

3. The Gomez cameo suggests he has boat loads of potential.

4. Normal service resumed next week then when Everton turn us over.
When I saws the team I thought it was about our strongest, but I wasn't sure about Minteh.

How wrong could I be. Immense at the back, great going forward.

I’ll have you know the Bedes Massiv are feared in tea rooms up and down the region, from Meads right through to Upper Dicker. Represent!

I do realise that this is an effective way to play to counteract teams but it isn't working... when do we stop trying or start getting it to work?
At least pass to a player that has a little space.
We spent most of the second half kicking it long. I don't want us to do that regularly. United's press was very good. I can't understand why so many fans of a club can't see that their opponents try to make things difficult -- Shankly: 'football is a simple game, complicated by the opposition'.
I will give you that Bart hasn't exactly been brilliant with his feet in the past month or so. But opponents will try and ensure that there isn't a little space for our players to have.

After seeing our cock up at the back again, I don't blame Verbruggen quite so much, Ayari clearly points where he wants the ball played to him and Verbruggen obliges him, mistakenly trusting that his teammate knows what he's doing (he didn't). Ayari (suprisingly, considering he indicated he wanted the ball) then seems surprised the ball was coming towards him, gets caught on his heels and has it nicked off him leading to the goal. Not that I'm blaming either of them too much, mistakes are always occasionally going to happen when we take so many risks playing it out from the back.

I must have been distracted for a few seconds.
Please tell me what I missed?
My impression, and I admit i could be wrong, was that he didn't actually touch the ball at all?
Not once.

What happened that suggested he has boat loads of potential?
(I fervently hope he has by the way, but I clearly missed what he did to give that impression).

No way was that an accident. I've seen it several times. Van Hecke was crowding him and he took action.
It wasn’t an accident but it wasn’t a stamp, can’t have hurt much & JPVH does love a dramatic throw down. We do fling ourselves around a lot these days 💃🏻

My 83 year Dad reminded me today that when he was living in North London he actually went to the Luton replay after Law scored the 6 goals in the abandoned cup game at Kenilworth Road.....

You can see it is all fake reactions at 0.01 when he pretends to be excited about watching Manchester United play football in 2025.
