What about Solly for putting a hand up to Garnacho's neck? Are they not moaning about that? (all over by then though)
That’s the beauty of Joel. Butter wouldn’t melt, it’s all about perception. That’s why I preferred when his… techniques for gaining an advantage were under the radar. Now the secret’s out a bit, it might not play as well to the referee. It’s these little touches like being the peacekeeper when the game is won and nothing is at stake in that moment that he is so brilliant atThe irony of Velts moving in to keep the peace
TBH, if I could make a living by watching 90m of football a week and acting like a twat, I’d take it!
Absolute rubbish! He stepped on his toe, not stamped on it ffs! He wasn’t even looking, accident IMO, the match officials agreed with me.Dint be an idiot. He deliberately stamped on Van Hecke's foot. Clear as day.
Absolutely shocking from the referee. Solly literally did nothing after being fouled except stand there while the **** stuck his head in his face.gone back to hating the ref again, how he gives Solly a yellow after that is a joke.
Sorry I just can't take people who always think every ref decision should go Brightons way seriously when it comes to discussing decisions. Some people accept they are biased and then you can have good debates but some people can't understand that Brighton players sometimes do nasty things and that opponents sometimes do things by accident rather than deliberate.Dint be an idiot. He deliberately stamped on Van Hecke's foot. Clear as day.
No way was that an accident. I've seen it several times. Van Hecke was crowding him and he took action.Absolute rubbish! He stepped on his toe, not stamped on it ffs! He wasn’t even looking, accident IMO, the match officials agreed with me.
JP’s reaction was embarrassing if I’m being honest.
The ball wasn't in play so he couldn't concede a penalty. It was deliberate.Sorry I just can't take people who always think every ref decision should go Brightons way seriously when it comes to discussing decisions. There's five players around Onana, he repositions his feet like everyone else and stands on Van Hecke for a short moment. As seen from the replays he doesn't even look down until he feels he's standing or something or someone.
But of course Brighton & Hove tinted version where the goalkeeper of a team being 1-2 down with 20 minutes to go decides to stamp another player on the foot to concede a penalty for no sensible reason is much more likely than a player accidently stepping on another players feet in an overcrowded goal area.
I think it was deliberate, where I agree is that it was a step not a stamp, which is the difference between shithousery to put your opponent off their game, make them lose their cool and concentration, and violent conduct which is a red card.Absolute rubbish! Well but he could have had a red card. The ball wasn't in play so he couldn't concede a penalty. It was deliberate.
To think they got rid of de Gea for Onana because he's better with his feet. Maybe he should put gloves on his feet.Cantor: "A mistake by Onana".
Yeah, what's new?
When wil these journalists realise, manure aren't all that. It should have read Brighton wipe the floor with their opponents....again! Give us the rightful credit we all craveDon't take it personally. Whoever wrote that couldn't put another [club] beats club]' because it would be repetition with the Everton/Spuds bit – it could easily have been the other way around. Nothing wrong to say they MUFC lost because... they lost
I'll withdraw my "stamp" comment and accept "step". It was definitely deliberate and deserved a yellow card. After all, Solly got a yellow for being fouled and getting a forehead shoved in his face.I think it was deliberate, where I agree is that it was a step not a stamp, which is the difference between shithousery to put your opponent off their game, make them lose their cool and concentration, and violent conduct which is a red card.
Players constantly stand on toes, little digs of the elbow into the ribs when awaiting long goal kicks - it’s been around and always will be. Veltman does it several times a game, players like Diego Costa, Ibrahimovic, Shearer, Keown, Terry and all their modern equivalents do it each and every game.
Onana was getting annoyed with being crowded - not least because he’s Dracula (he hates crosses - which we benefitted from later) - and he “left a bit” on JPVH.
It’s neither a red card nor an accident. It was just a little moment of gamesmanship which is barely worth mentioning really.
Edit: try playing park football - there’s always a couple of teams where it’s rampant and most teams have a couple of players like this - usually a bully up front or at centre half with a beer gut actually
Jeez, you're having a very bad weekend, aren't you? Is it because Potter got schooled by Palace? It was deliberate and worthy of a yellow. I've also seen reds given for less contact.Well but he could have had a red card.
It wasn't deliberate.
But like I said, you do this every week, claim that we should have had multiple penalties and that the opponents should get a bunch of red cards etc. Its not worth discussing the situation further with you.

This!It was good pressing but the keeper should never pass to him in that situation. They/he needs to learn when and when not to pass into midfield. I know the benefits but I'm not sure we have received one from this type of pass.
Definitely my current fave player followed by Georginio and RutterThat’s the beauty of Joel. Butter wouldn’t melt, it’s all about perception.
