Seeing Veltman's name in the starting 11 would really help my blood pressure.

So where on earth are Hinselwood (apparently was close but not seen in training), Ferguson (Darren Andertons son, can forget about him ever being fit), Ferdi (that Turkish account I think said 4-6 weeks out so back for fa cup?!), Milner (seems to have totally disappeared), welbeck (radio silence so guess means he’s out for months), wieffer is a proper sick note too

Somehow, and I am not sure exactly what it is, but we are really missing Jack.
This season, he's played 10 games, 5 wins and 3 draws - 18 points.
Without him 9 games, 1 win, 6 draws - 9 points.
I think he brings a balance to the team with whomever he plays without actually being spectacular.

It was the same last season. After he got injured we couldn't buy a win.

I hope he gets fit soon and is back in the starting 11.

For some time, I've been theorizing that our relatively excessive injuries are due to chalk soil, probably at the training ground.
If that's true how comes when I was young I played on our Council pitches and got kicked from pillar to post and still manage to play every week - and paid a £5 for the privilege ?

me too, but it's a relative thing and just a theory.
So, we get more injuries relative to other clubs - why is that? my theory - our players do their intense exercise on harder/stickier ground than they do.
While 3G pitches are known to cause the most injuries, is it possible that Sussex chalk/clay mixture is relatively more dangerous than other teams' conditions?

There's lots of studies in America on this for US sports (like this one), but I always question their sample size myself!

I think Hinshelwood and Milner have eloped

I’d have thoughts that the way modern pitches are built with sub-layers for drainage etc., they’d be fairly standard wherever they are in the country.

This. The Amex pitch is a hybrid (of grass and synthetic fibres) designed and installed at great expense The first team main training pitch is an exact copy of it. There’s not a chance they just dug up and used whatever local soil was to hand!

Yes, where ever he plays he adds something to our team dynamic and we miss him. We also miss having Weiffer, Welbeck and Ferdi available to start or from the bench.
Hopefully won’t be long before we have them all available, but having Jack back in particular, will be a real boost.

Milner is still travelling down from Liverpool all the time but basically lives in the gym

How many games has ferdi been available this season ?!? 3? It's absolutely ridiculous.

Hinshelwood as well, quarter of the season out now.

Weiffer plays a bit of football and gets injured and wellbeck just disappears.

Milner available for about 15 games since joining us .... Barely been injured in his whole career before coming to us !!

Bizarre sh1t. Something really not right with these injuries.

This is what we've been wondering too...I read a small knee injury but obviously not small at all for this length of time out? We desperately need him back...
