Working/Living in Bangkok Advice?

I have been emailed this morning about a safety job that I may accept, to work in Thailand.

It will involve doing basically the same as ive done previosly and involves safety checks/audits on hotels/resorts.

The jobs main office is in Wattana which im guessing is a district of Bangkok.

Would anybody have any advice or expiereince of working or living there that may be able to help me.

Don't refer to it as Bangkok for a start. It is only called that by Westerners. Everyone else knows it by it's true name Krung Thep. Some people in Thailand have never even heard of Bangkok. If you refer to it as Bangkok you will lose respect with the locals and they will think you are ignorant.
